Product Update — August 23, 2019

Hello Dash Community!

First off — if you’re a masternode owner, just a reminder that we strongly encourage you to update to DashCore v0.14.0.3 if you haven’t already. This update provides a number of space usage improvements, among other fixes.

Besides that — here’s what’s been going on at Dash Core Group this week.

💪 DashCore v0.14.0.3 released; 77% of masternodes have upgraded.

🏄‍♂️ Created the data contract for Dash Platform Naming Service (DPNS), and implemented DPNS logic into Dash Platform Protocol (DPP). DPP describes the rules for state transitions on Dash Platform. DPNS is a naming service for Dash Platform — basically Dash Platform’s version of DNS. Creating the data contract was the first step towards creating DPNS as an application, as the contract represents the blueprint for the data we hope to store and secure on the network.

📕 Completed formatting of Status Bar on DashPay and made some updates to Wallet-Lib (the Javascript wallet library that enables DashPay).

📱 Implemented UI updates to the home screen of DashWallet iOS for the ‘New Install’ state.

🐣 Completed work on derivation paths that enable payment to a blockchain user on DashWallet Android, migrated the app to the official Dash Core Group account, and updated several UI elements on the home screen.
