Dash Core Group Provides Infrastructure Update for Insight Block Explorer

Hello all,

On behalf of the DCG infrastructure team, Iโ€™d like to announce that we have re-architected our Insight infrastructure backend. It is now be better equipped to handle various clients while preventing bad actors from abusing the system.

Our Insight block explorer still can be found at https://insight.dash.org/, and the testnet version at https://testnet-insight.dash.org/.

The route prefix for the block explorer UI is /insight, and the route prefix for the API is /insight-api.

Letโ€™s use testnet block number 527803 as an example.

To view this sample block in your browser:

https://testnet-insight.dash.org/insight/block/000000012b4086ecd924d1e0b6d653b07295c3e3a1639ba3594f641e8b838207

Example URL for the same block in JSON format via the API:

https://testnet-insight.dash.org/insight-api/block/000000012b4086ecd924d1e0b6d653b07295c3e3a1639ba3594f641e8b838207

For consumers of the old explorers explorer.dash.org or api.dash.org, please update your block explorer references to use the above URLs and routes.

We have also installed a rate limiter for protection from DDoS attacks, which over-consume resources, as well as clients who abuse the service, using too many resources for the system to maintain.

We hope these changes will improve the service for everyone using our Insight service, by reducing downtime and blocking bad actors. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our support team through the usual channels.
