algo switch so we have a "small" loss and they a have BIG loss. Maybe they learn their lesson! Then they can sell their miners to startcoin dumpers for 88 START...

That kind of behaviour makes the difference between the companies that actually care about their customers and the ones that just want to make a quick buck.

Which one do you support?

After gaining access to 3.5.7 firmware, returning all removed stuff to make Raspbian fully functional again and some investigations I can confirm that there is NO any suspicious activity from the miner. It only checks baidu.com website for testing network persistence. The reboot mechanism is a sort of watchdog to keep miner software running.

The used cgminer fork is completely closed and highly customized, so can't tell more about it. One interesting thing - it reboots miner if any USB device is plugged - be it a keyboard or even a webcam. Is it a break-into protection or simple some buggy code - i don't know...

2 iBeLink:
And if talk about some "feature requests":
1) first of all - better pool management via WEB UI - add the ability to EDIT pools, delete them and add from scratch is very annoying
2) add the ability to change pool order and permanently save it - now it returns to the first pool after reboot
3) add (or simply activate - it is already in web gui files) the ability to add authentication to the web ui if someone wants to acceess miner from the Internet - now it's open for all and it's not good.
We have already realized all of your good suggestions.
You could have a try if convenient.
Thanks.

I got my ibelink about a month or so ago, ran great for a month and then the fourth blade stopped working. They sent me a new blade instead of a new machine and I swapped it out yesterday.
Today, it came to the building where the machine is running and it was off, it had turned itself off thankfully,, when I turned it back on, I'm getting an electrical smell.
So I've turned it off.

I cannot recommend ibelink machine to anybody, if I could get a full refund at this point, I'd much rather do that.

My iBeLink stopped working.

I can still acces the devices but no blades are recoqnised by the device.

Also when i shutdown the power and put it back on, the first led is BLUE and the second RED. After aprox 1 minute all go RED.

I tried RESTORE/ROLLBACK

If the miner could not be restore/rollback to normal, please re-flash your TF card, the step of operation could be found at the pre post.
Thanks.

Didn't find anywhere the post you mentioned. Please be a bit more specific.

Thank you.

ibelink any chance to create asic for ethereum classic? you'd make us all proud.. :)
ETH or ETC asic will take huge risk, it's not worth much for us.
While providing a more competitive next generation x11 chip is the next goal we pursue.

Can we expect to see any more future development from ibelink? Any roadmaps? Or was the 384 the last ASIC?

i think future development is in developing asics for mining multiple high value currencies like xmr and ethereum classic. imho dash lost its opportunity to take over monero, its going to be monero and zcash in future.. ibelink needs to be innovative and expand its offering in other crypto markets..
althought this is probably impossible but i'd love to be able to switch my asic to most profitable coins...

well i was referring to their mining farms that were funded by overpriced gear they sold to their own customers so that they could screw them again. they are controlling most of the hash rate on the network due to low power consumption obviously. They have the capability to reduce that hashrate to allow fair distribution of profits but they won't.

..So, if Not using the baikal mini miner it's only hobby mining ?

Really a shame, I love the ibelink stuff, it would be great if they would come out with a GH/s muti algorithm miner, that would be a home run. Not just X-algorithms either, expand over to ETH and some of the others and that could really diverse the mining. Then just sell a certain amount and not flood the market like these other oafs have done and killed x11. Wishful thinking...

So, decentralized mining/manufacturing Would be an all-around benefit to the crypto community-at-large ???

...and I should Not be here in an IBElink thread...

Worse still might be enthusiasts all over the globe mining altcoins that rely upon HDD space ... running up the electric bills for tiny returns, if at all...

Application of Power to manufactured goods does have it's consequences...

exactly.. i think ibelink is just going to throw away money trying to invest building new gear for such a small market like dash. there's much more money to be made in ethereum now that ethereum classic devs plan to diffuse difficulty bomb and keep the chain in pow+pos hybrid mode.

I agree, If ETC diffuseness that diff bomb, man that would be great! I've just pointed everything at ETH right now, because I got robbed, and I really need the money and it seems to be the most profitable right now. Nothing in X11 makes crap, I've tried them all, it's pennies now, I may sell my miner (v2), but I'm not sure yet as I like messing around with it, it may become a collectors item....

I saw in their DM11 Support Thread that you can submit a ticket on their website and they will notify you when they release the open source, but so far nothing yet.
