v0.11.1.x InstantX Testing

Status
Not open for further replies.
Does InstantX need some warm-up time to function properly? :what:

3 transactions sent one after another (30sec delay ca.).

Transaction no.
  1. 1 DRK sent: transaction shows -1.00 DRK (YES, InstantX fees are missing), status 0/offline, not broadcast, after a while it says "InstantX verification failed" and has to be zapped to get rid of it.
  2. 2 DRK sent:transaction shows -2.01 DRK, 1/confirmed, broadcast through 14 nodes. Looks good, but after 3 confirmations status changes to "InstantX verification failed". Could be a too-small-testnet-problem, though. After that it confirms as as a normal transaction
  3. 3 DRK sent: transaction shows -3.01 DRK, 5/confirmed, "(verified via instantx)", broadcast through 20 nodes. All good.
This is reproducible. 2 and 3 could be because there's not much Masternodes on testnet, but 1 seems serious, InstantX does NOT like to verify the amount of _exactly_ 1 DRK when it has to for the very first time.
On the second try it adds the fees at least, but still does not confirm, neither via InstantX nor via blockchain.

Edit: ...and from all this 10 or so transactions NONE reached the recipient. They are both on the same blockchain. Not sure if it's the right one, though.

Send from Windows -> suck.
Send from Linux -> rulez.

Just on testnet, it's not a mainnet feature. Someone asked how I did it earlier, here's the config:

testnet=1
debug=1

port=20000
rpcport=30000
addnode=127.0.0.1:19999

maxconnections=100
masternode=1
masternodeaddr=x.x.x.x:20000
masternodeprivkey=key

and how do I set up the next MN on the same wallet?
do I need a separate adress with 1000 tDRK and the belonging masternodepriv key?
or just additional ports like this:
masternodeaddr=x.x.x.x:20001
masternodeaddr=x.x.x.x:20002

Bug in (probably) coincontrol: started the v0.11.1.15 wallet with --reindex. After that, all old transactions listed in coincontrol started with 0 confirmations, thus are not spendable. They confirm 'normally' with each new block.

The transaction-overview still shows the old (original) confirmation count.

This only happens with the official Windows build, my self build Linux wallet does not have this problem.

Woohooo! Just woke up and saw my wallet mined 7 blocks on testnet! :grin:
Edit: Another block reward just arrived! 8 blocks total!

about 30 mins after sending...

i'm noticing 6% of the MN's on Mainnet is on v.0.11.1.7
I'm assuming they are running on Mainnet to test the new MN payment system?
Any info about the new MN payment system ? is it working allright ?

edit : i looked up what got introduced with v0.11.1.7 :

- Super stable masternode payments
- Much faster block/transaction scanning
- Conflict resolution improvements
- Other security improvements
- Lower memory usage, better memory cleanup
- Use only completely anonymized denoms when sending ds tx (Udjin)
- Huge improvement to translations
- Minimum 0.01DRK fee to use IX
- Fixed 2 segfaults
- Added release nodes

Is it perhaps better to first update the Mainnet with the new MN payment system (if its running okay) and test / develop InstantX further on Testnet ?

If we have an official version on Mainnet, it wouldn't be 11.1.7 because we already trashed that and now we're about to test v.11.1.16. Right?

And whatever version is going to be on Mainnet, it will have the good stuff in v.11.1.7, I suppose.

all i know is that https://drk.mn/masternodes.html shows 6 % of the MN's on version 11.1.7
(i think for 4 days already)

Edit : thats more than 120 MN's on version 11.1.7

I'm thinking maybe those are Evan's MNs to test the payment but who knows.
I guess we can try it at our own risk, and probably Evan waits until IX works then releases everything in the new version.

***************************** Please update to 11.1.16 : InstantX Release *****************************

There's about 50x the mining happening on the invalid chain, so I'm restarting testnet because it's messing
with what we're doing.

1.) Add one of these nodes:

addnode=128.127.106.235
addnode=128.127.106.235:20000
addnode=128.127.106.235:20001
addnode=128.127.106.235:20002
addnode=128.127.106.235:20004
addnode=128.127.106.235:20005

2.) delete ~/.darkcoin/testnet3/peers.dat

3.) restart with --reindex --zapwallettxes

Udjin Updates:
- use wallet db ds flag in rpc
- update tx types in UI / fix tx decomposition / use wallet db ds flag
- use wallet db to save ds flag / debug
- use AvailableCoinsType instead of string in walletmodel

Edit: Wallet mining quick enough

wow, -reindex goes very fast thanks to this restart of Testnet

edit : use -zapwallettxes to get rid of the unconfirmed transactions
