    I am testing with the thingy different pools / algos / coins / multi-algos / multi-coins.
So far I've managed to make the most 12$ / day with it which I think it's good so far.

Excellent dude, Question regarding customs I live in Germany I plan on to buy one Quad Mid September, So lets say I pay them 2500$ (Although i did not like that they upped the price from 2k)

When it arrives it says that it cost less exm: 100$ so that you pay low VAT? In our customs sometimes they say that you should bring your "order copy"

Example: Ebay you bought something 300$ and you have your copy, do they (balkail) send a "fake" copy just in case?

Question regarding the Miner lets say you set it to mine and after some months of mining it breaks or stop working by itselft what then?

And finaly can you check and do some experimetns on the following link and the coins? I see often (as of now 4:40am Germany) that Monatery UNIt (MUE) *quark if you Mine it for a whole day at 600mhs
, you come about 27$ per day *it goes up and down every 2 hours sometimes 35$ and others 12$

have you been able to get it to run multi-algo/multi-coins and autoswitch? Can't get it to autoswitch on nicehash.

I used it for multi-algo and multi-coins, both with autoswitch but not in nicehash.com.
What steps did you use on nicehash? Did you tinker with the terminal inside the miner's dashboard?

Guys, this is the link with the guide&software for updating the first batch: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1GBwN5-i39VbDM0ZW4wTlU4OWc

Can someone smarter than me please explain:
1.Am I right assuming that you have to make the firmware update to every board if you have 2 or more linked miners?
2.Why would you need to burn the OrangePi image to a SD card if you make the firmware update with that wire?
3.Do you have to make them both not just one?
3.Once you insert the SD card into the miner what should you do?How to run the installer?

    Thank you.

These were the questions raised regarding that PDF maybe you can include them in the video:

2.Why would you need to burn the OrangePi image to a SD card if you make the firmware update with that wire?

Can anyone tell me how much a quad is now? Their site says $2000 or 224 DASH, which is definitely not the same thing.

    @simon888

Sorry but your reply is not quite understandable.

The price varies according to DASH/USD or BTC/USD exchanges.
Yes, on their website the price IS 2000$ + shipping fees.In my case, miner+shipping to Europe+customs taxes= 2200$

Thanks for the reply! Have you posted any pics or videos? I'm a bit weary of ordering from them given the purchase process. Also, the cost/performance seems too good to be true. Are you seeing >1 DASH/day mined with the quad?

No, I put no videos/pictures.Yeah, you are right, the purchase process is mind blowing and looks very fishy.
I am not mining DASH because I do prefer not so difficult & well known coins. But with Baikal's specs I don't think you'll be able to make > 1 DASH/day.The best case scenario at the actual coins' rates I think will be around 0.8 DASh/day, more realistic around 0.5 - 0.6.My 2 cents

I see. Are you mining x11 coins? If so, what kind of hashrates are you seeing?

I am testing all the algos in single coin, multi-algo and multicoin mining. The best i found so far makes 12$/day.
Even if in the miner's dashboard I see a constant 597-601 Mh/s a pool's hashrate is quite different. Some of the pools see about 10-15% less, some fluctuate from 97 to 1000 Mh/s, some are constant around 600.

New things for my techy guys, directly from Baikal Tech Team regarding the update:

    1. Since I've seen it has a linux terminal I was wondering: can it be tricked to mine as a GPU/CPU miner in order to test other algorithms?
The baikal miner has sgminer. You can see the sgminer is running with following command $ sudo screen -r

2.Am I right assuming that you have to make the firmware update to every board in case of Quad?
    Yes. right.

3.Why would you need to burn the OrangePi image to a SD card if you make the firmware update with that wire?
4.Do you have to make them both not just one?
To support multiple algorithm, We modified the sgminer & firmware. So you have to update both SD card image & firmware.

5.Once you insert the SD card into the miner what should you do?How to run the installer?
The SD card has ubuntu linux & sgminer & scripta web interface. There is no installer in SD card.

Can you ask them that if the baikal miner already does multiple algorithms, do i still need to update, or is it already capable.

also is there a version anywhere where i can check what version i'm running.

since you already have communications with them.. ;)

I can talk with them but they reply very rare and I have to insist a lot.

Since your miner can do all the algos you don't need to update. There are 2 updates:firmware and OS+dashboard.
Firmwares should be just 2: the single algo and the multi-algo.I guess OS+dashboard were 3, one for the single algo and two for the multi.

I haven't tried yet to verify the update number but I think you can see if you remove the micro SD card from the miner and insert in into the computer.
Don't format or modify anything on that card!!!

So you maxed out at $12/day with their Quadruple miner? I would think $12/day per 150 mh/s, no?

    12$/day with a Quad (600 Mh) so far on a x11 multicoin auto-switching pool.
I am still testing so it's not yet maxed just the best so far.

    @alucard20724
If you manage to get it done finding the actual firmware/software please let it be known

I was hoping to purchase the quad version (batch 2 ) with a credit card. Does anyone know of a coupon to get it for around $2000 like I have seen before?

As far as I've seen until now no one accepts "traces" so no credit card, paypal or anything else. Not the resellers, and not the main company.Furthermore you won't see at the resellers a price below 2400-2300$.
