Nice first post. Welcome to the Dash side!
Dash is what Bitcoin should have been! ;]
Enjoyed your video, Tao. I'd like to buy the world a Coke!
Looks like you are in a state of samadhi already - cookies and beer would just bring you down from the clouds!
Nice sites. As a longtime Anarchast listener, it's good to see that sweet girl Amanda getting involved with Dash.
Please give her a respectful air-kiss on the forehead from me
Hello Dash Crew
What can I say, since 2010 I began to understand the current centralized world economic structure and its impact as a whole.
I've since had a passion to find the antidote. About 2 months ago I discovered cryptocurrencys and knew almost immediately
the antidote was brewing.
I'm on board with absolutely no technical ability, If we could make these things out of wood I'd be useful,
but we can't, so I'll do my best to get my 5 cents worth of ideas and opinions across to the community and hopefully something I say
will have a positive impact.
Dash is our best bet to decentralize money creation & move it out of the hands of central banks and friends, into the hands of you and me; shift the balance of power which has been concentrated in the wrong hands for too long.
Only a fully decentralized project like Dash can hope to achieve that.
I agree, although it's not quite the full picture, we also need other decentralized autonomous corporations that interact with and use Dash like currency's for this to really work and fully shift the balance. I'm very new to all of this and trying to learn, not being a techie makes it a slow process, to dip my toe in the water and acquire my first coins and send them was a very scary operation. But I can see the end game, a new world age free from tyranny, I think it's called 'Aquarius' also the age of technology. How could I not be involved in something so promisingly liberating.
Ideally others will be inspired to follow the same bottom up decentralized model. Dash should inspire others to follow especially since this model already proved to be successful. Many have yet to notice it though.
Sending coins is a scary process which is why Evan and the dev team is trying to make it more accessible to a larger audience. The upcoming Evolution update will introduce aliases, which means you will be able to send coins to an alias like AnarchoFrigidity instead of some xfdsd3e432faxdasndao342342342342332dfa address. It will also contain an encrypted chat and a friend list plus a set of other cool features.
Hi, I'm relatively new to dash, but I quickly became a masternode operator a few months ago.
I have experience with other crypto and scrypt and btc mining over the past few years and
a backround in networks and software development.
I am impressed by a few things about the Dash platform.
a)The incentive Model...which I think is key to any platforms success
b)The speed and volume of innovation in comparison to competitors.
c)The future potential of the Masternodes. They could have so many uses.
My compliments to the developers and community. You've done a great job pushing boundaries.
InstantX, 2-tier Network, Darksend, Governance model. Way cool stuff. Keep it up!
Nice to meet you. Welcome to the team! Great to have more talent on board. Maybe you can contribute to something if you get a chance!
Thanks I hope to contribute. My background is more surrounding SaaS apps than peer-to-peer. When I read the Evolution documentation
One thing that jumped out at me as a question is the discussion surrounding the process of emailing account requests. To me it's difficult to comprehend email
in a decentralized manner.
Because of so much spam filtering on the internet most filters do a reverse DNS blacklisting, which checks the IP against the domain used to send the email.
1)If the masternodes send through a central dash server, then that's centralization of that communication which I would think is not the first choice since decentralization is the goal.
So many will want to do it at the masternode level.
2)If the masternodes send through their own SMTP relays then they will have to have their own domain matching the sent emails. It could be accountnotice @ mymasternode1 . net
or accountnotice @ mypizzashop.co or whatever. With 20,000 potential masternodes that's potentially alot of variety in the domains emails are coming from.
Perhaps it can be overcome with just simple naming conventions for the domain. In any case, when I was considering how I would setup an email server for my masternode that came up.
Yes there are a lot of details to be sorted out, that's for sure.
Hi! I've been following Dash for over a year but just joined the forum. It's been exciting to see the "evolution" of features over time (couldn't resist the terrible pun). I recently set up a node on a Vultr VPS (sadly only a full node - don't have enough funds for a Masternode) and am getting up to speed on the Evolution papers.
Welcome to Dash, thephez!
ken Welcome, Ken! Finish your studies, come back and help build digital cash!
Hello, Dash newb here. I compiled and ran the client back when it was in the early phases and still called Darkcoin, then got distracted. Now that bitcoin is getting a bit stale and the blockchain limits are being arbitraged, it's time to branch out.
I will try to be of use to the community. So far, I am impressed with the documentation and good energy present here.
welcome newb, make yourself comfortable here
Hello, I have been following the Dash since last spring. Dash's continuous innovations and moving forward makes me believe it will become an outstanding cryptocurrency down the road.
Hello and Happy to be here.
hey TaoOfSatoshi can you please ad this to your OP
hello and welcome to every one wish to be in the dash for long term
Great to have you!
Hi! I'm a developer looking to get involved with a cryptocurrency. I really want to work with CryptoGovernment and its applications because I think it makes sense. Can someone give me a quick pitch on how Dash's government style differs from Bitshares and Decred's? Also, do you know of any other cryptogovernments?
Welcome to Dash Nation, ponysauce! I'm not sure about BitShares or Decred, but you can check out this video about Dash's governance:
welcome to dash
Newbies welcoming newbies, I love it! Cheers, murtezx!
Hi, a pleasure to join the forums,
I am OKtoshi, Lead developer for OK and ROKOS among others,
I believe in decentralization and empowerment of the users, and would be honored to integrate Dash into
The ROKOS flavors System, (OS for IoT devices with integrated fullnodes).
Will start a thread with a proposal for the community by tomorrow, as I just signed up and cant start one until my account is 1 day old.
Same way I love to support great projects and do cross collaborations, feel free to reach me anytime.
