Masternode Payment Variance

I think there is no random payment after the enforcement. You may want to run the daemon with -rindex option and delete peers.dat to see if you will get something after roughly 1200 blocks.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that. I do not know whether it plays any role, but I stopped getting "expected" payments after I upgraded the daemon to 0.10.15.21 on 10th of November. I deleted peers.dat but did not rebuild the block index after the upgrade.

Just write down the block after you see your node on the masternode list. Then, add 1300 and wait until that block. If you don't get anything after 1300 blocks, you may want to report it here again.

OK, I wrote down the block number, let's wait a couple of days. It is interesting that my masternode was always active, that is its IP was in $(darkcoind masternode list).

One more question: is it actually necessary to restart the masternode on the client (hot wallet that has 1000 DRK) by calling "darkcoind masternode stop" followed by "darkcoind masternode start" after having upgraded darkcoind on the remote server?

I don't think it is necessary. At least, I did not "stop and start" in the previous upgrade from v0.10.15.19 to v0.10.15.21.

My masternode finally got payed -) GermanRed+, thanks a lot for your support even if it would have happened without rebuilding the block index )

Hello Devs, eduffield oblox UdjinM6

Starting from watching drk.mn and see this unpaid record on block 227718 then check with debug.log on my MN.
http://explorer.darkcoin.fr/address/XuEDznYmzMivFH6Y8JoAiTXv1tk7A2ymRu
I found strange behavior about MN payment for this address.
1. The MN was selected as winner for future block
2. MN suddenly become inactive , look like MN send 1000DRK to own.
3. The block will pay to the selected winners anyway.
4. Then they reactivate the masternode again on same 1000 amount.
5. Then the MN win again really fast.
I hope this is not really a bug but just a coincidence.

That's interesting, at first glance it does look like something fishy is going on there. It looks like every time they do that they get paid within an hour or so.

Found a couple more doing the same thing:

This one is trying but it's not working for them:

Edit: seems like Xty3K just pulled it off a couple blocks ago.

There def seems to be soemthing weird going on with these Wallet Address. Seems like maybe we aren't checking a boundary case properly upon re-inputing of the vin? Anyone know where in the code this specific case is checked?

It's a bug and the reference node is being patched as we speak

EDIT: The reference node is patched, this shouldn't happen anymore

Eduffield, you should post thing like this on Btctalk, or if you did i didn't saw this... this morning i thought to reinstall my masternode because my last payment was like 5-6 days ago, then stealth923 told me that reference node was patched and we should see normal payments very soon :)

im hoping this is the truth ;)

EDIT
payment came through ;)

Why did we ever move away from the random masternode election algorithm to the use of the reference node with round robin again?

What is the maximum number of master nodes that can be ever registered at the same time? I was wondering if it is capped in a specific amount.

I myself have gotten 8 payments. Yesterday I got one and the day before I got 3. Today so far, none.
So yes, it is pretty random.
