Help, looking to setup a P2Pool Dash Node.

Hello everyone!

I am just setting up a small D3 Farm at my house in Northern Alberta Canada.

I am wanting to mine off P2Pool because of their fee structure and decentralized network incentive.

However when I scan for nodes the lowest latency node is 147ms.

Is that acceptable? How much will it slow down my mining profitability?

I think setting up a node would be a nice option. Could someone help me with this? Is there a good guide out there?

I have access to a Mac and Windows machine but from what I am reading it looks like Linux is the way to go?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there! Nice cold weather for your mining farm!

I'm not aware of any guide in our wiki, but I have been meaning to write one for some time. I know there are good guides out there and the software you need to install is here. You will probably need to connect it to a dashd full node (not necessarily a masternode). There are previous discussions on the process here and here. Please update this thread with your experience and I'll make sure it gets into the official wiki!
