I could set up a DNS entry for this if you like - how about http://faucet.darkcoin.qa ?
working - maybe you could add a redirect so that http://faucet.darkcoin.qa works directly?
And there is a typo on the page, Darkcoin has no capital 'C' anymore
Cool. People have been asking after one of these all over the place. Have shared this on reddit & bitcointalk.
This is a great initiative and important for the PR of darkcoin. But I think the amounts being given away is a bit conservative for a coin that has been instamined. Maybe, those whales should be kind enough to payback tiny percentage of that instamine to the community for the sake of promoting the coin.
Feel free to use the qualified domain name - if you need something let me know
If it was giving payouts every second then I don't think it was Tor because it is so damn slow. Evan must be testing DarkTor
Hurry I just refilled the faucet.
can someone also try to use/hack http://188.8.131.52/ pls?
http://www.reddit.com/user/mpamia has claimed it's possible to hack this using a proxy server (and that they have done it).
Lol this is no hack, this is jsut some bored guy who changes ip, enters captcha, recieves coins, changes ip, enters captcha, recieves coins, changes ip, enters captcha, recieves coins, changes ip, ...
I still see 3.5 DRK in the faucet, so I see no issue there...
it works like a charm. don't worry, i put in way more than i took out.
I chucked 1drk in last night. Took forever* to confirm.
*not literally forever
Faucet balance: 0.001700
Average payout: 0.007328

The faucet is cool and helpful. donated 1DKR before but fast emptied. Generous rich coin holder, pls donate
Actually Darkcoin transaction fee is quite high for running a faucet because faucets are using sendtoaddress or sendfrom commands in common meaning single transaction for every recipient. So transaction fee is way larger than the amount itself. But even after modifying code to use sendmany command fee is large enough - now because of a size of a transaction...
PS. big thanks to people donated 3 DRKs to my faucet before
the fee is 0.136 (!) but for transaction with 131 outputs (130 recipients and my change address)
When I pay by one transaction per address (i.e. using sendtoaddress)
the fee is quite often 0.002 for every single transaction (1 recipient and my change address)
Paying to 130 recipients using sendtoaddress would take something between 0.001 *130 = 0.130 and 0.002 * 130 = 0.260
So it's somewhere between "almost the same" and "twice expensive" comparing to sendmany.
I'm staying with sendmany for now...
Just sent 2 drk to http://drkfaucet.com/
you can use https://darkcoin-ads.com/ and put an AD on the faucet page, with direct payout to the faucet wallet, this way the faucet will get some darkcoins from itself!
