I am currently testing the next update, which will use a different exchange for rates. So far it's working. Cryptsy was the previous exchange that the app used to calculate exchange rates.

We have two users saying that they cannot spend their coins that were mined and paid to the android app address. I am not sure why yet. I kept telling them to attach the app logs, but they all failed to do so. Yesterday, I found that it was due to a bug in my code, a single line, of course, that prevented attachments from being accessible to the chosen email application.

This issue is resolved in the versions pushed to Google Play today.

Now the issue is that both users have several DASH in their wallet, from confirmed transactions that are counted as unspendable by the app. Hopefully I will get more information to resolve it.

I don't know if this info helps, but I remember, when I first started using the wallet, I used to receive many transactons with multiple outputs (many different receivers in the same transaction), after a while, the wallet "complained" a lot about it, and started to be more and more slow. I could only solve the problem then, by deleting everything and resetting the wallet with fresh addresses (of course, after moving the funds elsewhere).

HashEngineering Is it possible to have watch-only addresses in the wallet? I believe it is not possible yet, but I have someone asking and would like to know for sure.
    Thanks!

This is normal behavior for this app, which is based on the Bitcoin Wallet that also has the same behavior when receiving mining payments with multiple outputs.

It may be possible, but it would take quite some time to implement. If another Bitcoin Wallet fork has this feature, then I could see how easy it would be to add.

Awesome. Anyway, don't stress out about this, it is just one user requesting :)

I believe the Blockchain.info is also a fork and offers this feature. They don't list it in Play Store, but in the 'What's new section' they say: "- Watch-only address balance not reflected in wallet balance"

Hi! I've found it useful to have a function of paperwallet balance checking through Public Key QR-code scanning. Now, Dash wallet has only function of withdrawing whole balance from paperwallet.

    Disconnect is back.

On my phone, which is Android 4.4.4, I found that pressing back on the app will stop it. Also, in the android task switcher, closing it stops it. However, The different androids may have different behaviors so I added this feature back to the app as a means of satisfying users.

Today, a user was kind enough to send me his wallet to determine why he could not spend his coins. Turns out there was a leftover line of code from the first time I was trying to add InstantX support to the app. This leftover line of code prevented a mined transaction from being spent, due to a bug in that leftover line of code.

Granted that it is not recommended that a user should use the app to receive mining payments.

A user has sent a crash report that indicates that Dash Wallet cannot handle BIP38 paper wallets. These have private keys encrypted by a password.

The bug was strange (because it didn't seem to be related to changes made with Dash), so I checked the latest Bitcoin Wallet for the same behavior. It also crashes on decrypting a password protected private key (BIP38). I have reported this error to the Bitcoin Wallet developers.

How difficult it would be to add option to turn mixing on when the phone (tablet) is charging and on a wifi?

What do you mean by Mixing? Darksend?

If that is the case, it would be very hard. Some of the work is done with loading masternodes, etc, since InstantX support was added (both for send and receive) -- this part is in Beta testing only.

The app doesn't support any features that rely on charging or wifi, that would also take time to add.

The Google Play listings have been updated. Let's see if they were done correctly to read: https://www.dash.org/

It usually take a few hours before Google Play posts the updates.

Do I need brand new Android device to use the Dash wallet or does it also work with older versions?

The solution seems to be turning off WiFi and then resetting the blockchain (Settings \ Diagnostics \ Reset blockchain). Then activate Wifi again. We are hoping that the new update will fix this issue: https://github.com/HashEngineering/dash-wallet/releases/tag/v4.65.12

Also this topic is no longer used for Dash Wallet, instead it should be this: https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/dash-wallet-for-android-ix-w-send-and-receive-new-ui.8228/
