I"m going to be working out of Stuttgart, Germany for the next two years - do we need any representation in that area?
Hey good to hear from you,
New job at Mercedes Benz ? (Lol)

Definately , the more the better and there is Dash work to do in any city + spreading the word !

Any room for more people, like myself?
Of course! we need as many people preaching as possible. The program has been a bit stagnant during the rebranding, but we are gonna try to push things more now. The best place to be up to date is this thread atm.

Dear Ambassadors.
We (Minotaur, Fernando, me) had an “ Ambassador meeting” this morning to organise our next steps and actions for the group.

Before we get into this we thought it is important to write out our thoughts on
“general Ambassador Tasks/ job Description”
so we all know what is expected from an Ambassador, and what is the minimum action he/she can bring to the community.

Your Local Language ! (German, French, Hindi, Russian,….)
is one of the main points !

Daily Tasks should be:
- update/post DCT international section
- update/post BCT / your local language BTC + Dash threads
- update/post Local Blogs, Chat Groups, FB Pages,....
- Push PR/translated Articles onto them, write your own
- translate guides and help others

On DCT International, by far the most active communities are the Chinese and Russian.
The chinese Alexy and Raico are on top of translations + posts and updates, there is a special scenario going on as we are fighting the Scam/Ponzi pages.
The russian section is not even updated by Ambassadors 51ASIC as the community is so active in translations and posts + local Social Media Pages.

- I believe the German community in Dash is huge, even though the DCT section is dead !
GreyGhost HammerHedd

- The french are pushing hard (tx sangoku ) and there might not be much feedback yet, but that will come

- I still have my eye on Brazil and imagine there must be a ton going on ! raganius

- Spain ? aleix

- Abdulaziz , i believe we should get an ‘Arab’ Section onto DCT to you have a better outlet?! (What do you think ?)

- weirdgod , how is that Linkedin Group going ?? (sorry i was too busy to participate there)

as a suggestion to all the international languages
update/post as mentioned above
translate our PR/published stories and push them onto your local outlets
translate guides and push them onto your community

- The easiest is for the American/English Ambassadors, as they do not even have to translate, so i thought there would be more groups on FB (1 english only !! + the official) or any other social media outlet ?!

There are so many opportunities you could do , from home, on your computer, copy/paste for 15 minutes in the morning and done !! Start an FB page, G+ Group, Chatroom, Create your own page,…..

It would be great if we could start with these easy normal online responsibilities for each Ambassador, this is by far the easiest way to spread the Dash word, and that is what it is all about !
All it takes is to start a thread in DCT, post in BCT international, pages, chats, groups,... and help others to understand Dash + tech issues. Over this people will come naturally (trust me, i am doing it and it totally works)

In addition to 'daily tasks' Tungfa listed, here is the list of documents that still need to be prepared by Ambassadors: The list can also be found on the trello page (which we all got invites too).

1) Philosophy / Privacy + Anonymity in Finances and the Internet in General: (Philip/ renegademan is working on his "Privacy" intro. Talk to him for collaboration or to see where he stands)

2) Why privacy is important in a free world:
Here is a good web page 10 reasons why privacy matters:
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/20140113044954-2259773-10-reasons-why-privacy-matters

Why Privacy is important Quote from Bruce Schneier in his recent book Data and Goliath.
"Privacy is an essential human need, and central to our ability to control how we relate to the world. Being stripped of privacy is fundamentally dehumanizing and it makes no difference whether the surveillance is conducted by an undercover policeman following us around or by a computer algorithm tracking our every move."
Slashdot review about the book
http://books.slashdot.org/story/15/03/09/1242257/book-review-data-and-goliath
Privacy and Freedom quotes
http://bit.ly/PrivacyFreedomQuotes
3) Why are Cryptocurrencies Important?
Strix is working on an edit of ambrassadorzizo's paper: (collaboration with them or see where they stand)
I believe this has already been started, so you may want to talk to strix or @ambrass to see the progression

4) What sets DASH apart from other Cryptos? In General? Specifically?
A hard working developer team? A long list of volunteers? Better Tech? Any Thoughts?
5) Easy quick ones: Note: Wait until Evan (who is working on a guide) releases the current updated guide - If Evan is not writing this guide, then lets find out who is, or lets get someone too. When the guides are done we can make videos out of them as well.
- how to use instantx
- how to use darksend
6) Investment Information:
Alex-ru wrote this paper: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-an-assessment-of-its-investment-potential.4140/#post-43814
Maybe we can use this/or parts / (lets edit) for the Investment Section?
7) Slides - Why InstantX is much better than 0 confirmations, even for small purchases:
Someone with graphic experience should help with slides. Images sometimes speak louder than words.

This is a short list, obviously there's more. Some people may be working on these already so please communicate to avoid double work. Most of these guides have been sitting in our trello "guides to do" section for a while now. We should focus on the tasks at hand so the Ambassadors can shift their focus to approaching potential merchants. These tasks are small, the longer we wait to do them the harder it will be to get the motivation to actually do them.

Hey guys I'm so sorry I was away because my mother was diagnosed with cancer that was aggressive and deep. It was skin cancer and 6 years ago she lost her eyesight. So i really need to be a helping hand to both my mother and father. Now that I'm home she was cancer free when I left there house. I feel so bad because it was such a bad time because we were just getting going here. I know I missed the volunteer meeting obviously but I really want to do all I can. Again I apologize and feel so bad. I have had plenty of time to think and I've come up with some really great ideas. With me being gone I think I'll bring them up in the first meeting because someone could have already mentioned a similar idea. I'm really glad to be back and I'm super excited to get going again.

1st Hong Kong "Inside Bitcoin Conference" 2015
Yesterday and today

tickets for the panel and speeches were around US$ 200- 300 !!
note to self and everybody else:
there is always a way in for free !
(and this time as well)

Super interesting, small but good amount of people, all BTC obviously and no Altcoins whatsoever !
People love meeting real Dash/DRK'ers in person ! Great to talk about "our" things to the outside world,
as they have sooooo many questions.
they all know Dash (obviously as we are on #4), are all interested and all have an eye on us and the coming ideas !
What a great place to pick new contacts, warm up old contacts, meet people who are huge in Dash and Mining x11 (Farms) and make contact,
work on the contacts you wanted to work on but never knew how to contact these people, new ideas for Dash over these contacts, .......
contact contact contact !!
i think all of you get my point, and i can only ENCOURAGE everybody to go to conferences !
Bitcoin conferences, tech conferences, money conferences, security Conferences, Hacker Conferences ,.....

Conferences = Contacts
+ great fun ! ;)

Tungfa, good to hear that someone from Dash community went there. I had been thinking to make a stopover in HongKong on my way to Chiang Mai but decided not to and spend the saved money on my Dash project ;-)

Another idea for Ambassador Group about adoption:

Community could have at least 1 dedicated person (one of our Ambassadors?) to help merchants setup all the stuff. So he (or even better she? ;) ) must be technical enough for cover the entire range of technical problems about implementing DASH to any possible site (competent in scripts, engines and so on). So we could announce something like this: "Do you want to accept DASH? Send "Marry" a letter and she will help you. Maximum in 24 hour your customers will be able to pay you with Dash!"

It'll be good if such a person is also competent in using encrypted messaging and other tools to make help private. And ready to help dark markets also.

I think adoption is not only about users, but about merchants also. And now they don't have an easy guide or help to start accepting DASH directly (without intermediary - payment processors)...

I'm presenting Dash at the Barcelona Bitcoin Meetup in Barcelona next Tuesday. To any dasher around the area... please come and help spread the word!

http://www.meetup.com/bitcoin-barcelona/events/222636340/

The Barcelona BTC meetup is the biggest in Spain and one of the most attended ones in Europe. Besides the usual attendance (30-40 people), all people at the Bitcoin panel in the Symposium on Electronic Crime Research (eCrime 2015), that takes place in Barcelona that same day, are invited:

https://apwg.org/apwg-events/ecrime2015/

The organization expects many of them to go to the meetup and this could be a good opportunity to present Dash in a more friendly way to this audience.

I will do a 20-30 min overview of Dash, covering masternodes, darksend, instantX and blockchain governance. We will try to connect with Evan via Skype for the Q&A, but we don't know for sure yet because we need to test the audio at the venue first.

aleix made this possible and he will record the presentation. We'll make the video and the deck available so anyone can use.

I will be travelling to Barcelona specifically for this. Depending onf the final arrangements, I expect the cost of the train and the hotel to be around 200-250 EUR (80-100 DASH). I'll be doing this anyway, but donations to help cover the costs are more than welcomed :) My address is XcuTUeqH3zQmrfWQB3APRWLWkvM2fshpQc

If there is any excess over the cost, I'll tip attendees who download the wallet after the event so they can try Dash.

Great! Video may be not good if you have little experience with public speeches. But if it would be good enough - it maybe even more useful than Meetup itself.

This is for Meetup door (PM for better size). :)

Excellent timing, I just arrived in my CAT base (one hour north of BCN) a couple of days ago, I shall definitely be attending, I was at the first Spanish BTC meet up in Madrid in 2012 http://www.yorokobu.es/bitcoin-el-lento-auge-de-la-moneda-anarquista

I will make a donation in Euros on the day personally as I'd rather hang on to my DASH atm.
That is awesome, it will be great to have you there!

That link is super interesting. The Madrid Bitcoin community is quite dispersed right now, but I plan to start paying it more attention. There are three or four groups and only one of them meets regularly.
