v0.10.15 - Onyx Release

I have not been able to get Darksend Mixing to work these last few days using 10.15.16. I thought maybe it was just that no one else was available, but does't seem to be the problem.
Currently on v10.15.17 Mac. After I updated I sent all coins to a new address to see if that would help get things going.
Here's a sample of what I'm seeing in my logs, restated over and over for the last 16 hrs since i started. Set to 1200 coins and 4 rounds in preferences. Only has one .01 collateral charge since I started. Any advice?

Is there any ETA on next enforcement? Halloween night would be perfect time for this :grin:

I forgot, how many blocks before a new masternode becomes eligible for selection & payment?

Looks like one day. 576 blocks.
Code:
darksend.cpp

1300 bool CMasternodePayments::AddWinningMasternode(CMasternodePaymentWinner& winnerIn)
1301 {
1302     uint256 blockHash = 0;
1303     if(!darkSendPool.GetBlockHash(blockHash, winnerIn.nBlockHeight-576)) {
1304         return false;
1305     }
...
introduced in commit:
Code:
commit 84c90f3c49cd3957b77d5d4567a9a39b2c5f8abe
Author: Evan Duffield <[email protected]>
Date:   Mon Oct 13 08:16:14 2014 -0700

    v7, reference block further in the past
and merged into onyx here:
Code:
commit fda2f6ba2b4ba00bf7f901d1e032746ba5042115
Merge: 6c2c1e4 f9c05d3

According to elbereth's site all pools which were ready for enforcement with v0.10.15.16 (those who pay 25%) are ready again for v0.10.15.17 enforcement.

Enforcement please :grin:
How do you know this? :what: I'm not sure if protocol version was bumped for v0.10.15.17 ....

EDIT: getinfo gives me "protocolversion" : 70043

We need a permanent solution to the 'nicehash' problem. They are now the second biggest pool with 13.7% share. Any suggestions?

Now that 82% of masternodes are on new version, perhaps it is time for the enforcement?

Hypothetically, would it work to DDos the crap out of all the un-collaborating pools and during this window of opportunity, Evan switches enforcement? :tongue:

Edit: Again hypothetically, using a VPN connection and a very simple DDos-ing techniques (like the one shown in the below video) a couple of members of Darkcoin community simultaneously could do that?

Disclamer: I am not proposing or calling for any illegal activity. Just taking advantage of my freedom of speech and trying to have an academic debate on the issue :grin: I am not responsible, so use your own brain.

Fighting wrong by doing wrong is wrong.

With enforcement they will be forced to collaborate, that's the better and cleaner solution.

'Like' it for some kind of nostalgia :wink:

Well, I respect your opinion but nicehash refused to pay 80 times during the last 24 hours:)

I guess we need a word from Evan eduffield - what are exact conditions for the next enforcement or is there something needed to be done/fixed before we are ready?
