This is a cross-post from https://www.dashcentral.org/p/bsdev-blockcypher-maint-201703

This proposal funds one year of maintenance attached to the currently-passing BlockCypher contract. Support for the BlockCypher contract has been very strong and it appears highly likely to pass. As of this writing, the proposal has 472 "yes" votes and only 17 "no" votes. The first BlockCypher contract funds the $50,000 in development costs, and another $3,000 in technical documentation costs, but excludes the costs for the first year of maintenance.

The full proposal description can be found here:

After gaining confidence that our recent price appreciation is continuing to hold up well, and evaluating our other funding needs, we believe we can fund the entire BlockCypher contract within one month. We will not require funding this month for many of our regular expenses, as balances within those budgets have experienced rapid value appreciation, and so we can rely on savings within those budget categories. Specifically, we will not require business development funding outside of the specific funding for the BlockCypher contract. We also will not require additional funding for the marketing / international outreach program. Our PR program will only require partial funding as well.

For these reasons, we would like to proceed with funding the entire BlockCypher contract this month.

To keep the discussion on this proposal in one thread, I would suggest making them in the original Dash Forum post. For questions, please include @Minotaur in your post to ensure Daniel Diaz sees it.

Requested funding is as follows for the March 5th budget cycle:
Total: 456.67 Dash

Note: Should any funding remain, we will apply it toward future business development expenses.
