I have a i5-2450m @ 2.5ghz
But I'm only getting 3-4 khash

Which I have seen a lot better from the same cpu..
any ideas on boosting this

Also I'm new to mining.

Mind posting a screenshot of the terminal 2-3 seconds after the miner started? 4kH/s is way too low.

Looks better. Thats 7kH/s per thread, so ~30kH/s. Still way too low. Is that a laptop?

Ya its a asus k55a. and apparently I was reading that wrong, I thought the numbers after the thread where the total of the rate.. could you explain how you come up with 30

sorry for being a noob

4 miner threads started = 4x 7kH/s = 28kH/s. See it says "Thread 1, Thread 2, ..."

I am new on mining.
Using simple CPU miner on windows 64 bits
My hash between 5 and 30 something.
Cannot find my address on http://elitter.net:7903... after more than 24 (supposely) succesful mining. But I wonder??? Does it mean I am too low to be received by the pool?
By the way where you are supposed to enter: -a X11 -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u [%coin] -p password
Thanks for your help.

Try to add [%coin]/0+0.00001 to your worker address.
