eduffield and flare prepared the Darkcoin and Darksend documentation at the darkcoin confluence wiki.

Evan and me decided that http://wiki.darkcoin.qa/display/DRK/Darkcoin User Guide will be the base for the User Manual. Everyone is invited to join, it's a joint effort to fill the blank pages :)

Any idea what happened to wiki.darkcoin.eu? I went to edit it regarding opensource status, and it didn't load this morning at all... tried now (8pm here), again down... Is it a glitch on elbereth's server? I haven't got a copy of the texts, or the FAQ, on my hard disk, although they could possibly be retrieved through internet caches.

All hands on deck!

hey Vertoe
we have a ton of new guides as you know and we should totally get them onto Wiki !

i remember i had some problems doing this the last time (and failed)
so i might need some 'idiot' support,
or even better
Sub+ SubSub Sections Set up

- get started
1. sections for 'Wallet Download installation (Mac/PC/ Linux)'
2. sections for 'Wallet Security (Mac/PC/ Linux)'

- darkcoin masternode guide
1. section 'Set Up Guide'
2. section 'Start Many'
3. section 'KeePass for Masternodes'
4. section 'Start Many Masternodes'
5. section 'TOR guide'
6. section 'Masternode on Raspberry Pi 2 Model B'

please let me know
what you think
if i have sections (for each guide) i should be able to fill it in !

Thanks moli - I think Tungfa is furiously updating the wiki here http://wiki.dashpay.io/display/DRK/Dash Documentation Home - Ive tried to get a user account on elbereth's wiki but doesn't seem possible. The links in the OP go to dead pages though, and the post is sticky.
Elbereth's wiki is not open to the public, you have to get his permission to get on it, afaik. I think he was looking for someone with fluent English to take care of it. You should ask him in IRC or pm him.

I will most certainly do that, thank you for the information.

No problem, Bill. I hope if you can help, you'll make the best wiki for us. And one thing if you don't mind: I think our wiki shouldn't be open to just anyone having access to it because that'll be open to vandalism, like this:

I'm a little off topic here but you know what I mean... :D

My wiki is closed to public just to avoid vandalism (and to improve security to an extend).
Full DB is available on demand and I create accounts when asked freely.
TBH, I would prefer if my wiki died as it is well out of date... But most of you asked me back in marsh to keep it running.

Well the wiki I posted above (not yours) is pretty solid anyways. I agree that it might be best to just let yours die out for now. The only reason I originally posted was to note that the links in the OP post are dead links.

I just looked through http://wiki.dashpay.io/display/DRK/Legacy+FAQ, pretty awesome. Kudos to tungfa, thanks for all the hard work! It's nice to have the info in one place.

Also, thanks to elbereth for his first wiki, it helped a lot of early darkcoiners (and me) to know about this coin during the early stage of this project. In my opinion the info on elbereth's site shouldn't be discarded, it could be some value for history documentation that someone might want to do later on.

Not my work, I just copied it. Anyway, I will be working on the wiki next week a lot, hoping to make it even more informative.

edit* for clarity:
considering this is such a vital post to new comers it would be wise to have the correct links in the original post. That is all I was saying originally. I agree that the elbereth wiki should stay as it is a great piece of the history here. Anyways not sure if anybody can edit the links, if not maybe create a new post and unstick this one?

Is the new wiki ready? I could indicate my wiki is obsolete and add a link to the newer one if you really want to keep it alive.

If you mean access to my wiki you do have a login/pass for quite some time now. Even before it was renamed to wiki.dashninja.pl.
I cannot recover your password if you lost it though... Can reset it if needed.
