Dash Wallet Address / Giveaway

We've begun rolling out the Dash Wallet address submission / giveaway. This is our experiment and strategy for the next round that seeks to drive more email submissions and also wallet downloads. The thinking is that by giving away .1 dash each week, people will have a greater incentive to give us their email address, download a wallet, and give us their wallet address.

We're testing multiple email submission forms and locations in the next round, but it is already live on our control group / footer submission form.

And we are already getting people submitting their wallet addresses!

As part of our next proposal, we are signing a legally binding agreement that determines how and when this email list can be used. It will only be used with the written/email permission from specified people at Core.
 
Our location gear is confirmed to be working properly.

Since India was our top source of traffic for the pilot, and since India does not use Coinbase / Bittrex / Poloniex / Uphold / etc, it was the first region we wanted to display country specific How To Buy Dash information.

Our research team identified BuyUCoin as the easiest and most reliable way to buy Dash in India. We created a specific panel describing step-by-step how to buy Dash in India, set it up only to display to visitors in India, and have confirmed via GeoScreenshot.com and Geopeeker.com that this is now displaying properly to visitors from india. Anyone is free to confirm this content display themselves either via the services mentioned, or if you are located in india, simply by visiting Dashinformer.com

We've spruced up the landing page a bit with animated icons. Give em a try and tell us what you think. Note that you'll have to visit the dashinformer.com landing page to see the actual animations. We went with simple elegant icons that will animate one time, not constantly, and will help tell the story of Dash's incredible feature set.

After we optimize variants for the email signup form, we're going to split test animating the actual panels themselves and make them swoop in and fade in and pop in. We just don't know if it will make the page convert better or not, so we don't want to animate anything above and beyond the icons without split testing heavily, and email signup form is the next element in line for split testing.

Your Dash Treasury Proposal Video is down. Also just out of curiosity, why did you decide on the first video on that page. It seems odd to start someone off with an interview.

To answer your observation and questions:

1. We know the video is down and are currently hunting for an alternative. Amanda's video explaining the treasury was the best, and actually the only, video on the internet explaining how the treasury works. We're not sure why it's down but it appears to have been removed from youtube.

2. For our first experiment, we split test 4 different videos and sent over 50,000 targeted unique users evenly between them. The video that is now at the top of the page caused every single conversion goal (we are tracking 15) to perform better after users watched this video vs. any other video. After watching this video, more people wanted to buy dash, view proposals and download a wallet than after watching any other video.

The video's title is "What is Dash? Could it overtake Bitcoin?" -we think that the title alone helps stoke people's emotions drawing them in, and if you watch the video is also is brilliant starting from the very beginning and explaining Dash to someone who knows absolutely nothing about it.

A/B Split Test for next phase:

The A/B split test we are running for the next phase will optimize for email address collection and wallet download confirmations by asking users to submit their email and wallet address for a weekly .1 dash giveaway.

  • Our control group is the footer email submission form. We know this will not negatively impact our conversion rate and is already collecting emails successfully.
  • Our first variant is a collapsible email signup form in the header
  • Our second variant is a lightbox popup that appears after 15 seconds.

And even though all of our ads are paused, our plan is already working, and people are submitting their email addresses and wallet addresses every day:

Language Translation Update - Translations In Progress!

After posting our PDF results/proposal doc, many people started reaching out to me on Discord to help with translation.

The Dashinformer.com site is now actively being translated into:
  • Spanish
  • Japanese
  • Polish
  • Dutch
  • French
Once complete, the site will automatically load in these languages when folks visit from a country that speaks one of these language predominantly. All translators are being paid in Dash and also advising on the easiest ways to buy Dash in their country so that info can also automatically display for them. This is moving faster than expected.
 
For all translators of this proposal, this is a great opportunity to increase the buying opportunities for Dash in your country. I just got one of the easiest places to buy BTC/ETH in the Netherlands to at least looking at adding Dash by offering them an opportunity to be part of this $300,000 a month advertising project!

Can we take into account the opportunity of forcing translated version of your LP?)

Thank you Dash Network for continuing to fund this proposal. The master block has been mined and 100% of the advertising budget of this campaign (70 Dash) is being liquidated to begin advertising. We are still putting a few finishing touches on our landing page for this round and we expect to begin advertising early next week (Monday or Tuesday). Here's what we're rolling out this phase:

MERCHANTS

Moving Forward - 50% Budget Targeting Merchant Adoption
The most significant change to our campaign this round is targeting for merchant adoption. We have heard loud and clear that the Dash Network wants to drive more integrations and that this is a path forward the network has unanimously embraced. We believe our campaign can be instrumental in driving merchant integrations.

We have created a "Merchant Quickstart Guide" based on Feedbands' own ecommerce Dash integration experience. This quickstart guide contains information that, strangely, is not easy to find anywhere on the internet. It is the most basic, easiest and fastest step-by-step guide for a new merchant to start accepting Dash as payment on their website and it is exactly the path Feedbands took after exhaustive research of every option and communication with Core.

We will be targeting merchants seeking to accept bitcoin and other blockchain payments. Using targeted advertising we will get in front of people already searching for how to accept bitcoin and other blockchain payments, educate them on why Dash is the ideal solution, and offer them our quickstart guide.

We are creating an entire merchant segment. Potential merchants will be tagged separately for remarketing purposes, merchant related goals will be tracked separately, and merchant email addresses will be collected in a separate list. This will allow us to communicate with and advertise to merchants as a completely separate segment, and it will enable us to report merchant related goals as a separate line item in our monthly ROI report.

We are creating a separate merchant facing page. By creating a separate merchant facing page that does not mention bitcoin or cryptocurrency at all, and talks about dash strictly as a payments solution, we believe we may be able to continue running ads on Facebook.

TRANSLATION EFFORT

We have upgraded to a truly scalable, enterprise-level translation solution for our page. This allows translators to translate onto the site, and also allows for multiple roles of translator and reviewer to ensure quality work. From the Dash Discord community alone, our page will be translated into Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Lithuanian, Dutch, Norwegian and Russian. All translators have been paid in Dash thus far.

We will likely exhaust the Dash Discord community by the end of this cycle with well over a hundred languages left to translate into. So, we are now getting quotes from various agencies to provide translations for all the missing languages in order of importance, with a focus on agencies that have experience workin on our translation platform.

A NEW AND IMPROVED VIDEO

We have also heard loud and clear that Dash does not have a well-done, showstopping video to introduce itself to the world. With just a portion of our design budget from this cycle, we have created a video that will impress. We hope to run this video on Facebook (pending approval), on Google partners (not Youtube, we're leaving that to our friends at StrikeSocial), on Twitter, and on Yahoo finance. This video will be the Network's to use, and if other proposal owners would like to run it on airplanes or Youtube they are more than welcome to :)

Our translators are also open to translating the content of the video into other languages if the Network deems it desirable.

Expect to see the new video Monday or Tuesday prior to us firing up the ads.

LOCALIZED CONTENT AND ROI REPORTING FOR OTHER PROPOSAL OWNERS

We've been approached by a handful of proposal owners who would like us to:
  • provide information about their project to specific geographical locations (which we can easily do on the country / state and city level)
  • provide goal-based ROI reporting for their web traffic. For proposals generating web traffic, there is currently no other option for them to send traffic somewhere where they can get granular ROI reporting, so we are happy to provide this at no extra charge to them. The more projects in the ecosystem that are accurately measuring their effectiveness, the better off we'll all be.
Our goal here is to help strengthen the overall ecosystem. Location-specific proposals have a higher chance of succeeding if they can get in front of people in their location. And proposals generating web traffic need to be able to measure their effectiveness to report back to the network. We are happy to help solve these two problems in a streamlined way moving forward.
