I have a Core wallet but forgot my passphrase how do i recover my passphrase
u can not !
i can recommend a service that can 'help' you recover
(only if you know parts of the password or have very good leads what it could be)
I dont remember any words from the passphrase
sorry - bad news - not sure how to help
encryption is encryption - there is no recovery (as u should never trust a 3rd party service with encryption keys)
for the future i recommend
Open Source Password Manager
i remember few words from the passphrase, so further what i should do
you could contact
he is 100% trusted (by me)
i used him myself before and recommended him to many others with great results !
(remember he can not bruteforce your password, can only run software to figure out with your info what it 'could' be !)
how long he takes to solve the problem
as i have already contacted him but he did not told the time how much he will take to solve the issue
takes timethe better your "suggestions " the faster he is - best to be 100% honest with him - remember you hire him to help u
If this works, you probably should be using stronger passwords. Good luck.
no not true
i had a very good password but a spelling mistake back when i hired dave
and he saved me 1k dash - 1-2 years ago (and did the same recently for a guy with a 17k wallet !)
I have mailed the mail which was been provided but he is not replying me. I have send all the files which i have but he is asking the file which i dont have.
what do u do not have ?
the wallet.dat ? + possible password ?
Dave is not able to decrypt my wallet now what else option i have by where i can get my wallets, as i have almost 12 Dash Coins in my wallet.
The software is designed so you need the password to access the funds. Maybe try hypnosis so you can remember it?
Please help me to find my passphrase its very important.
Please help me to solve my issue
Please understand, that anybody can't help you to remember password. Some, guys with a powerful computing resources (like google) can try to brute-force, but this may take a years. Maybe 12dsh is not a big price for it...
Please help me anyone pls pls pls
At this point it seems all you can do is go away and read about encryption, dash security and best practices for keeping your passphrase safe. This lesson has cost you 12 dash so make the most of the learning opportunity and be thankful that it didn't cost you a lot more.
where do i can learn about DASH
But it will be a great if anyone helps me to decrypt my walllet
For example, You can read about cryptography in wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strong_cryptography
Also u can read about AES algo used in wallet encryption here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard
Sorry for your loss man. I am in the same boat and will lose 115 dash and that = $20,000 @ this moment.
"be your own bank"
is a great keyword - but it brings the responsibility of being that "own bank"
you are in cgharge of your encryption keys / passwords,... and the likes
i am sorry to hear that dave can not help you
Safety one on one
- use a password manager !! KeePassX (OpenSource and highly recommended)
- use a VPN (safety first)
- secure your wallet.dat files and password manager file on MULTIPLE devices
- use a Hardware Wallet
Some people shouldn't leave the house without a helmet and a diaper. You can't help them...
Has anyone used recovery wallet dot com?
I only used:
and he is 100% trusted and solid
I send a bunch of pipes there and only positive feedback so far
I recovered last week a wallet.dat file for a guy. In 2013 he buy's 6 bitcoins.
A friend told him to change his password phrase. In 2018 he want to sell it, he didn't knows it anymore.
So, he give the wallet.dat file to me, told me, if I recover it, 1 Bitcoin is for me.
Last week I recovered it, with a little bit help from him, he give me some keywords what maybe is used.
takes me 5 day's, then I recovered the password.
So, it's possible if you know some of the words that is being used.
It obviously wasn't important enough for you to remember.
If you don't care, why should anyone else?
