Dash Documentary Proposal - update

Hi Guys,

We have just released our first Q&A session for the Dash Documentary, answering some of the questions that have been asked this week. You can watch the video here:

Haven't had a chance to review this yet but, just as a request, could you include all updates in the same thread as the original proposal instead of separate threads. It is much easier to track down what happened with things if they are all in the same place

That was helpful, thank you.

Look, this is just me rambling out loud but... this morning I was listening to a popular youtuber / crypto investor and, frankly, I had to quit halfway through because I found his analysis so poor. On the one hand he was criticising dash, yet on the other hand he failed to mention or acknowledge the shortcomings of other cryptos such as monero.

For dash, he said the "crypto community" had a very poor view of dash. The usual instamine issue came up. And also, how poorly the DAO works; that MNOs are not the brightest people, that group decisions by non-experts lead to very poor decision making. That, in itself is not terrible, but then he went on to praise monero as the best privacy coin. That's when it all fell apart for me, because imo, EVERY crypto out there had it's own history and set of problems. Monero, had significant privacy issues / technical flaws.

My point is, he said, "crypto community", which is a very narrow view. As you already stated, your documentary is more mainstream consumption, meaning it's somewhat of a blank canvas, where this bias and negativity is not present or known. So it just seems to me, this documentary could help to wipe the slate clean and give a more balanced view.

It's a fine line to walk. OTOH we want positive coverage of dash, yet not too pushy and in your face.

Hi GrandMasterDash,

Thanks for your comment, much appreciated. We totally agree that there seems to be a number of so-called 'Crypto-specialists' looking to promote currencies that are just not up to the level that Dash and the Dash community offer. Cryptocurrencies are making their own history and we are not looking to down-play any other currencies, but instead present what Dash has to offer to a totally new audience.

We want this opportunity to prove ourselves to the Dash community, making something they can be proud of.

Hi Guys,

Great news, we have just been interviewed by Craig Mason (huge thanks to the work he has put in).

You can see the interview here:

Really keen to hear your thoughts.

Still Voting NO. This is not the right time for a documentary.

Hi Guys,

We are still really passionate about this documentary and know we can deliver a piece that will add real value to Dash and the community.

Anyone who has any doubts or queries (especially if you have already voted no), we would love to hear them and be given the opportunity to prove to you we are the real deal and can make the documentary that Dash and this community deserves.

Look forward to hearing from you.

The Dash Documentary Team!

With Dash’s phenomenal growth this month. I think you'll agree that it's the perfect time to start a documentary so that we can give those who aren't in the cryptocurrency scene a chance to get educated and become a part of the dash revolution.

We are the right team for this job, we have the passion, the resources, the drive and we will make a documentary Dash can be proud of.

Please join us on this journey and lets work together to make Dash even Greater!
