Hey guys, So quick question. Does Darksend charge a fee? or is that what the 45% that goes to mns is for?

Dark send has a chance at charging a fee, 0.01 dash, and if you pull out of a mix (shut down your wallet while mixing) you could be charged collateral, which I think is 0.1 dash?? I don't remember completely anymore, sorry. But the fees are minimal and mostly there to fight various attacks to the system.

I've been mixing as a liquidity provider and I'm charged (now actually looking at my wallet) 0.01 about 1 X per day, and I have it set to mix as often as possible liquidityprovider=1 in conf file. Sometimes I'll get 2 in a day, sometimes none. There are also "collateral inputs" that cost 0.00002260 which I have no idea what they are.

Hey JuanSGalt you did a great job up there. The comparisons between DASH and Bitcoin were good. DASH has an advantage because it fixes a lot of issues in bitcoin, you explained those advantages in a clear concise manner.
I hope that you will be interested in speaking at more conferences in the future while representing DASH.
Very curious to hear what people think about the speech.
Over all, I consider it a success. A lot of people came up to me after it and we had a 20 or so minute discussion that was a lot of fun and in depth. A lot more people, maybe another 20 or so asked me about it the next day or two and about 40 of the business cards were taken. Not sure about the pamphlets.
I still have a bunch left tho, which will come in handy. I'm also confident that we can get the merchants here accepting DASH. Just didn't have time for it until now.
Will be putting a workshop together soon for local on online security and privacy and will teach them how to use Dash and move BTC, exchange it, etc.

I'd love to speak at other conferences about DASH. And I'll polish my presentation and communication skills even more, which I'd like to do anyways.

Hey JuanSGalt as you can see promoting dash is not the easiest. Blow back will always happen but you seem knowledgeable and that works for you. Asking the correct questions, no emotional responses. Keep up the great work. Not every smart person is always right (referring to KA).

Juan, very enjoyable presentation! I like how you took the conversation straight to KA and kept it very civil, in contrast to his condescending Bitcoin maximalist antics.
We discussed about this in the past. Back then we only had one third party Android wallet that nobody had vetted and no iOS, so we went against it, knowing that we should revisit that decision soon. I think the time to start including them is already past some time ago, so I guess I should start working on it asap

Ditto. Juan was getting better and better as the presentation progressed and held his ground brilliantly during Q&A. In Juan I see a real fighter for the "Dash is better currency than Bitcoin" point we need to make, an unavoidable struggle in front of us.

Yes, this weekend someone shared somewhere (I'm sorry, too many discussions outlets to remember where!) a link to a facebook group where he was discussing with Kristov Atlas about Dash and it was great.
