Hello dash community
There are many ways one can promote dash. @Joojo and I have decided to promote dash through education and entertainment. We successful had our first joint meetup Friday, 20th September with we name Dash Game night at Ghana Technology University College. I was really amazed to see the enthusiasm of attendees. We talked about Dash, the opportunities dash offers, why one should use dash as a mean of payment. At the end of the meetup we were able to convince heads of the university to accept dash as a mean of payment in the school and we succeeded. Now the school cafeteria will be accepting dash as a mean of payment.
The university is a technology school so we met the head of department of the information technology to consider blockchain as a course in the school and also to have a fun club in the school where students will exhibit their talents in blockchain. We also succeeded in that, The school has agreed to use Wednesdays to study blockchain and dash and to see how best we can promote dash and this is for only IT students. Students will be creating games on blockchain like we already have on dash.red. As the school cafeteria will be accepting dash as payment there is the need to have a merchant that will sell and buy dash on campus and we are negotiating with a third party to sponsor us do the selling and buying of dash in the school.
Challenges: The programme was supposed to start exactly 7:00 pm but due to rain we couldn't start 7. We started the programme at 8:20. We anticipated over 60 attendees because we got the help of the school entercom but because of the rain we the programme had only 36 attendees and some even left early because of it was late.
At the end of the meetup 22 wallets were created And 14 were tipped. We couldn't tipped all the 14 wallets that night because of lateness so addresses that were not tipped tgat evening were taken the next day.
In all we had a successful meetup and we are looking for in organising more meetups in different schools and region. We are subjected to corrections and criticism if there is any.
