V12 Testing Thread

Looks like Evan found and squashed the bug

https://github.com/dashpay/dash/commit/a89b0e705fa8fac24c7cfcde52e517ca15246905

For those who can compile: remove peers.dat (to let banned clients connect) and -reindex

Hmm... I stuck again at 76900
How is everyone else doing?

EDIT: -reindex kicked me to 77100 but it's yet another stuck point for me now with lots of
Code:
ERROR: AcceptBlockHeader : block is marked invalid
ERROR: invalid header received

Looks like there is smth else:oops:

Yer... I got the compiled and the bootstrap last night, got my wallet up with a fresh wallet.dat, then switched to running the old wallet.dat which has a lot of conflicted tx's as the result of the last fork.. Then i fell into a coma.. Just woke up, shut it down, started that wallet back up again and got stuck on block 76900.. I'm reindexing it now, seems ok now. :)

Ahahahaah.. you beat me to it lol

UdjinM6 my wallet is synced to the same block with the explorers, the first 3 chain tips don't show anything about block 76900:

EDIT: UdjinM6 actually I was trying to sync two wallets and this wallet was run with the bootstrap which synced fine, but the other wallet (with reindex) got stuck at two hours. I'm reindexing it again to see if it still gets stuck.

For me it's suddenly started to move (but still have error messages):

Same here, but almost every -reindex (good to have a button for this, isn't it?) brings me some more blocks. Or not sometimes...

And before someone re-downloads the complete blockchain: makes no difference, so save your traffic.

I have updated the dnsseeder to support the longest chain - so in case you delete your peers.dat you "should" get the longest chain.

BTW, if anyone doesn't want to wait for official compiled versions from Evan and wants to get busy, elbereth has a server that checks github every hour and autobuilds a new commit for us. Here's his website:

https://dashninja.pl/builds/dash/0.12.0/v0.12.0.0-169-ga89b0e7/

Actually these are identical to https://dashpay.atlassian.net/builds/browse/DASHL-DEV/latest/artifact/JOB1/gitian-linux-dash-dist/, which always points to the latest build. I will add the git commit hash for future builds :)

Thanks, flare. Cool, I didn't know the Test Resources OP now is updated and didn't want to bother you because you seem busy :)
On Slack, thelazier showed me this link but it's only for windows: https://dashpay.atlassian.net/builds/browse/DASHW-DEV/latest/artifact/JOB1/gitian-win-dash-dist/
I just wasn't sure where to find all versions for all OSes from Atlassian.

Just mined 9.28571434 tDASH! We need more miners on Testnet.

Sub-Ether here's your chance for instamine mining.. :)

EDIT: Just got another 9.28972338 tDASH.

I got synced up and left a core mining over night but after paying masternodes for about 10 blocks it some how dropped all the mn's off my chain and just kept going into oblivion. I have stopped mining on that chain now at the time it's block height is showing: 77116

Now it's dropped back to block 77102 and I've lost the mined coins out of the wallet from after it stopped paying masternodes last night but still stuck again on this block.

Def an improvement on getting me back onto the right chain now. It just seems like after it has worked out which chain is right it has a problem moving on blocks on that chain. Last night I wasn't seeing my wallet converge onto the right chain at all.

Keep up the thankless work!

I have two wallets that started at the same time this morning, got on the right block that matched the explorers, but now it looks like they both are on different forks and show no fork warnings:
