V12 Testing Thread

ok, I have a suggestion for displaying "Amount and rounds" (note text itself and its tooltip)

Not enough inputs:

Does it look good?

Testing v.12.0.6

--------------------------------------------

Not enough input: tip box needs to be much wider, check pic.

--------------------------------------------

Also bottom right unit selection does not affect/change Amount & Rounds: dash units)

That's weird (tooltip width), I have it just like it is on a screenshot there https://github.com/dashpay/dash/pull/387
What OS are you on?

Yep, switching units will not affect it right away, we will need to completely change the way it's notified/updated - that's the same issue as updating values there after settings are changed.

Windows 32bit. V.12.0.06 also shows the Dash amounts split in tooltip box:

EDIT: UdjinM6 - I just now noticed the percentage of the anonymized DASH didn't change after the target amount was changed from 1000 to 2843.

This is the second time when I sent 1000 tDASH via InstantX (no DS), it seemed getting stuck, took a while to go through, and it got a grey box instead of a question mark:

I've gotten a few of those, and like you say, just InstantX (no Darksend)... sometimes it can take up to 45 minutes to confirm

Weird thing is while you're waiting, you can send DS or regular tx and they confirm right away

So far I've got more successful IX transactions than the failed ones. So hopefully the devs will get it perfect. :)

I also downloaded this new wallet but haven't tried any transactions... I was just trying out mixing on 2 wallets (till the power went out in my neighborhood). Anyway, I had no locked funds and what appeared to be normal amount of Collateral Payments

One thing though was that one wallet on start-up did have quite a few locked funds... I wonder if it might be because that wallet only contains 1147 tDash, but start-up it "acquired" the Amount and Rounds settings from the other wallet, which is set higher than that (2000 Amount). After I reset to proper, there were no more locked funds ??

Report Memo - v.12.0.06, windows 32bit, DS testing on two wallets for 7 hours.

- Wallet 1: 2000 DASH/ 6 Rounds, progress bar shows 13% completed with only 0 and 1 round. No locked inputs.
3 DS Make Collateral Inputs, 9 DS Collateral Payments.
- Wallet 2: 3000 DASH/ 6 Rounds, progress bar shows 23% completed with 1, 2, 3 rounds, no locked inputs.
3 DS Make Collateral Inputs, 10 DS Collateral Payments.
For some reason wallet2 seems to progress faster than wallet1 and both wallets were started at the same time.

Good news is no more locked inputs and collaterals craziness seems to calm down but DS still goes too slow, imo. For 7 hours I expected the wallet to get at least 50% done, but they didn't.

i think we could use a bit more mining power, perhaps we can all throw some CPU mining on ? (setgenerate true 1 in debug console, setgenerate false puts it off again)

i'm running 4 wallets under windows 10 Insider Preview through Oracle Virtual Box and i gotta say its pretty cool and without problems so far
(it also helps with all those transaction messages if you are running the OS through a VM)

Dev Team : if you are running Windows 10 Insider Preview now you can freely upgrade to Windows 10 when it comes out in July, could be handy
for testing purposes as you will have a free Windows 10 available then that you can fire up through VM.

Could you do Wallet Repair testing on one wallet while you're running DS or mining on that Windows and tell us if it crashes the wallet?
