v0.10.15 - Onyx Release

I don't check chaeplins site (too slow), but my Masternodes switch to status 0 all the time.
It's that annoying that I had to reduce the time-out for an automatic restart of the Masternodes from 60 minute to 10 minutes to have them (most of the time) running.

I already reported that to JIRA: http://jira.darkcoin.qa/browse/DRK-104

Yea, I am super annoyed by just not getting paid for 6 days and on top of that getting zeroed again. Plus, this time pools are also very slow. I think only SuchPool upgraded from the top 5 pool.

We upgraded 2 hours after release :)

Correction: 2 hours after email, not sure if that was release, since normally forum/irc is a bit faster ;)

After successfully syncing new client, there's a new (EMPTY) wallet.dat in APPDATA folder. You only need replace this new wallet.dat by copying the old wallet.dat you saved in that Desktop folder. Hope this helps.
I was able to recover my coins! Big shoot out to member
splawik21! Thank you so much... Post a DRK address please.

It was a game of wallets.dat and version of the darkcoinqt.
We had to remove ALL from his PC and started from the beggining.
Synced all, changed names of wallet.dat, copy wallet from backup oryginal and worked.
Good night it`s 5:30 a.m. here ;)

Cool.. I'm glad it works, congrats to you for saving someone a big headache :)
Normally, I'm afraid to copy a wallet.dat from 100 keys to another wallet.dat that has 1000 keys. I would send my coins to the 1000-key wallet. I wonder if there's a clear guide somewhere for this because afaik only Darkcoin wallets have 1000 keys.

We will do it for sure, no more time today ;)

I've had ten masternodes go from status 1 to 0 overnight and I'm reading the odd report of other people experiencing the same thing.

EDIT: Yesterday I could see a few IPs that were listed numerous times in the masternode list although that seems to have cleared today.

DOUBLE EDIT: Same IP list problem:

Where are those damn pools when we need them to update? They don't even give a damn about 15 security improvements that are vital for the system. Maybe after all, getting rid of them was the right decision

Edit: At least we could choose which pool we want to work with. SuchPool for instant was super quick to update to the ONYX.

These pools just aren't going to update of their own free will. There's no incentive. In fact, it seems like there's a disincentive given that I've now lost 4 MN payments totalling 5.2DRK since the update. I presume those DRK just go to the pool and miners? is that correct?

They go to the masternodes that haven't updated. I've gotten 3 out of the last 20 payments I was selected for. grr.

coinminepl
coinotroncom
ghashio
trademybitcom
wafflepool

are the current culprits.

I guess this is why updates have to be rare if possible.

Would the effect of instant (or up to 1 week) enforcement really be that bad?

I think clear communication is what we need. Pools should be encouraged to register with the mailing list and very clear 72, 48, 24 hour notices posted as enforcement approaches. An automated system would be ideal.

I think one week's notice should be ample for most cases, but I don't run a pool. And I'm biased being a masternode owner.

Also, I think that everybody using darkcoind should recognize or be informed that we are in a rapid, iterative development cycle and should act (react) accordingly for the health and profit of the network.
