Still testing on the OSX wallet. What is the Darksend Collateral Payment? This wallet seems to be stuck taking fee's over and over. Left it open for more then 24 hours and stuck at 2.89 out of 4 rounds. I will update to the newest version and try again.

see post 1 of Evan :

Note: Let me know if you get a collateral payment. Please send me the debug.log and wallet.dat if you do to [email protected]

That is a lot of them "United States". Isn't hosting there expensive, like you have to pay for bandwidth? I think it would make a lot more sense to host in Europe, for example ecatel.info offers a dedicated server(Windows or Linux) with 10 TB Bandwidth included for 40 EUR/month. Yes, a dedicated server for 40 EUR/month not a VPS, crazy right?

I can't wait for more updates from Darkcoin team. The RC5 has that - "Darkcoin is not just another altcoin" to it. Good bye, Litecoin.

Amazon t1.micro spot instances are available for a decent price of $2.50/month - and testnet masternodes don't consume much bandwidth :)

hey guys, looks like the test faucet is down. Was just about to have a play around with it  Anyone got any tDRK they could chuck at me please?

Arent t1.micro discontinued and replaced by the much better t2.micro? Yeah, I think t1's are gone.
The other day Amazon did not let me make an instance because they had run out of resources in some region... cant remember which. Switching regions fixed it.

I also had no idea you could migrate instances between regions, tungfa told me about that... very cool...

Depending on the AMI and region used both are available :)

Both being free tier eligible, why would someone go for a t1 ... even after a year a later, 1 MN payment covers a whole month, and we dont know what MN's will be able to do in the "near" future.
Yeah, I'm just using Ubuntu 14, and since the email roll-out about t2, I have never encoutered t1's.... anyways, this is side track talk.

Have I told you lately that I love you guys? I remember testnet being only 4 or 5 ex-LTC idiots...

Windows wallet v10.13.3 with new wallet. Got 3000 tdrk from faucet. 8 rounds, 1000 to be anonymized. After approx. 6 hours, the anonymizing is done but this is what it looks like on my wallet:

And the process was charged with 18 transaction fees:

Is this normal?

From looking at coin control while it is denominating this is my understanding of the process...

Darksend seems like it splits your money into groups of 900 (or less) and denominates them. 1459 would break into a group of 900 and a group of 559. For each group you need 8 denominate fees as you set 8 rounds thus you have a total of 16 of those fees. As for the 2 "payments to yourself" that have fees attached... that is for splitting up each of those two groups in to the (10,50,100, etc) for the coinjoin mixing.

Also don't forget that the 1000 you set in the options is a minimum value. The client will make sure you have at least 1000 anonymized coins. Technically, it could anonymize 100 or even 1000 more based on your available inputs.

In short, everything looks OK to me. Someone from the dev team correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you for your explanation. I'm just curious why it says 99%. The second group didn't get a complete 8 rounds but still got anonymized? Thanks again.

What does coin control look like? Since you only know that it is going to anonymize more than 1000 coins but not the actual number there many be another 10-15 coins that will be added to your anonymized balance when they reach 8 rounds.

Still no anonymizing started with a low threshold at 6 rounds. Just says submitted to masternode 1/2

I've decided to take the plunge and help test a wallet. So I download the newest wallet, and create a darkcoin.conf with -testnet in it? I will need some coins...

Thx

- check if your on wallet version 0.10.13.3 through help - debug. make sure you created a new wallet while using this latest wallet version.

- set your amount to anonymize a bit higher to test if that starts the denominate's
