Wanting to do a Monthly Presentation on Dash and would like some feedback

I was looking into writing up a platform for on-boarding regular people into Dash/Cryptocurrencies and I was hoping to have the community help me build out the messaging timeline/ subjects I should focus the most on.

I'm thinking the main places I will be doing these is the local libraries and would obviously start a website with all the content & materials available from the talks so others can take this platform and do the same thing in their area of the world.

I also intend on reselling Dash to those who would like to purchase it at basically market value, as to provide easy initial access to Dash so we can skip the whole "omg Dash is so hard to buy" problem at first. I also plan on giving out small paper wallets to everyone who shows up with at least $1-5 bucks per wallet for free as a thank you for coming to my talks.

Along with all of this I hope to provide each and every person with printed material that they can take home and share with their friends/family and help the discussion go beyond reddit/the internet.

I will release my content as I get it written up, but I would love some initial feedback from everyone on this idea as I feel very strongly about doing it and feel like it would be very useful longterm for both myself, my networking, and Dash in general.

I have more ideas about this, but thats the jist of it.

I'd be happy to try and help. I have ideas on how to approach "normal people" as I've been working on my family quite some time, who all thought I was getting involved with something nefarious and illegal at first, LOL. You can imagine, they did not like me doing this. I've found a few ways of explaining it, why it has value, to them and have slowly gotten them to think about it. My sister even asked me some good pointed questions about it the other day.

Q Why would I go through all the trouble to buy dash, just to buy something, it costs me time and probably money (and I've seen prices at overstock that were more costly in Bitcoin than cash)
A You're right, right now it's not as useful as it will be. But I can tell you why it will become useful to you, because merchants will want to use it. With Dash, they can accept payments and the funds clear immediately and virtually free. With credit card companies, merchants have to pay 3.5 up to 7 or 8 percent fees, and on top of that, they risk getting charge backs for stolen cards. Some early merchant adopters have actually given a 3 - 10% discount to shoppers who pay with crypto (bitcoin mostly as Dash isn't as well known yet). So as more merchants adopt Dash as a payment system, more people will adopt Dash to take advantage of the discounts. They don't really even have to hold Dash, they can use a processor that converts everything from fiat to Dash, immediately, on an as needed basis, lowering the exposure risk to the price fluctuations. Merchants can do the same thing. These services probably charge as much as 1%, but it's still better than Visa, and just like using cash, as far as immediate settlement and no charge-backs goes.

Q Why does Dash or Bitcoin have value, I mean, who says how much they are worth?
A Well, both Bitcoin and Dash have a hard limit as to how many coins will ever be created. No more can ever be created. And the reason to use these coins, is as a transfer of value, like money. So, depending on how many people use the system, the price is established due to supply and demand. Why they have value in the first place is because they represent ownership in a service. It's actually the service, the usefulness of the network that makes it desirable to use, that makes the coins in demand, as they are simultaneously "shares" in the service and a currency.

Q If there is a hard limit as to how many coins will ever be created, won't there be a shortage of coins?
A Actually, Dash and Bitcoin and every crypto-currency unit is infinitely divisible. You simply move the decimal point. 1 dash is 10,000,000 duffs. We can call a unit a milli-Dash, a micro-Dash and a duff. that's 0.001 Dash, 0.000001 Dash and 0.00000001 Dash respective. This allows for an economy equivalent to over a quadrillion Duffs or Satoshis depending on Dash or Bitcoin.

Oh, I could go on, but I need to get to bed :) See ya later!

It's okay pointing people to overstock, but if you're giving out small amounts like $1, the first thing someone is going to ask is, "what do I do with it now?" and if the answer is "nothing" they'll just throw it away. With bitcoin it's a bit easier but can still run into the same problem. I wish I could hand out dash that comes back to me if it wasn't used within a certain time.
