Ubuntu repository installs v12.0

I installed Dash Core per these instructions:

And a very old version was installed, which indicates that the Ubuntu repository is not being maintained. Either the documentation needs to be corrected or the Ubuntu repository needs to be maintained.

It's not clear to me where that repository installed Dash Core -- it didn't overwrite the version that already had installed. Where does Dash Core get installed from the Ubuntu repository?

Hi there - I believe it installs it in the /bin or /usr/bin folder. The current Ubuntu PPA installs 0.12.0.58, which I agree is not very helpful. You can uninstall it with: sudo apt remove dashd

We are currently looking for someone to maintain the repository, @flare would have more information on this. The CentOS repositories are maintained and up to date, with many thanks to @t0dd
