Satoshi Round Table

  • Do any "altcoins" provide any useful innovations to the crypto sphere?
Not really.
  • Does the ability to provide instant, secure transactions have any value (DASH)?
This claim is untestable because DASH has no users.
  • Does having smart contracts have any value (ETH)?
Maybe. Can you think of some that aren't ponzi schemes? I can, but I bet you can't :). I do believe that Ethereum is a dubious proposition, however, the details of which I can get into at length if you'd like.
  • Does decntralized cloud storage have any value in your world (storj)?
Yes, for child pornography and such. But for the most part, no. Also, the security promises are, again, dubious.
  • Or is Bitcoin the be all, end all, perfect technology?
I don't believe Bitcoin to be perfect.

  • Do any "altcoins" provide any useful innovations to the crypto sphere?
Not really.

Maybe not for you but the only digital currency I use for online purchases is DASH. I did a bitcoin transaction 5 days ago and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes for 1 confirmation. Hence the reason I use something better (DASH).

  • Does the ability to provide instant, secure transactions have any value (DASH)?
This claim is untestable because DASH has no users.

I use DASH, every day. We may not know if we can scale this technology if the network is as large as bitcoin, but I think the bitcoin freaks should worry about their own scaling problems, and we can worry about ours.

Please do so. Lets hear these lengthy details

Tell that to all the actresses who got their boobs shown to the entire world because they felt safe storing their naked photos on a centralized cloud storage.

I don't believe Bitcoin to be perfect.

No, because they don't give a shit about merchants.

Now my opinion.

You are like a child who didn't get his favorite toy on Christmas. Your podcast/show/frat boy party on the air (and I've heard it) is crap, no offense maybe just work on it a little more? Or clarify that you are trying to be a comedian (which you fail miserably at also). I wanted to say thank you for coming here, I see solidarity among the community. I guess it takes a cry baby wannabe coming around for that to happen.

One article won't change too much and will not replace PR campaign. This is obvious. But I agree with Solarminer. It would be good to have at least short update

Give it a break Kot. I know you and a small handful of guys are crazy in love with that Transform PR BS but it was a bad call. Own it up. You've made a bad call. It happens to the best of us. Let's just move on, mkay?

This was the guy you wanted to do PR for DASH? $6k/month for nothing. The metrics you posted were crazy poor. The fact that you wanna go on with the guy is nuts, especially after those lousy metrics. The highlight of his achivement was getting Dash to this Round Table. I think it's painfully obvious to everyone every shitcoin managed to get there, Monero included and small market cap coins like Tether. No special networking and connections were required.

This video is not a joke. The guy attempted to do a crowdfunding for some lame event. He ended up getting just few hundred dollars out of the tens of thousands of dollars he solicited. So much for effective PR.

Thank you. I think I'll read this complement on the show this week. :) Thank you for listening.

Sounds like you need to learn how to use the tipping feature in Bitcoin. You could have probably gotten your tx through a lot faster if you'd paid 4 or maybe 5 cents to confirm the tx instead of the usual 3ish cents.

"I use DASH, every day. We may not know if we can scale this technology if the network is as large as bitcoin, but I think the bitcoin freaks should worry about their own scaling problems, and we can worry about ours."

I call bullshit. You do not.

I can do that. I don't have time immediately, but I will gladly give some details on my ETH skepticism later on tonight.

"Tell that to all the actresses who got their boobs shown to the entire world because they felt safe storing their naked photos on a centralized cloud storage."

Lol, so you believe that the way to prevent their boobs from getting shown to the entire world is to decentralize storage, put it on thousands of computers that could be potentially hacked? A decentralized storage market removes the risk of carrying the storage from the individual storing it through redundancy. Decentralization doesn't mean that it's secure.

"No, because they don't give a shit about merchants."

That's hostile and untrue.

InTheWoods Terpin is a shitcoin pumper. He likes to take money from bad projects and promote them poorly.

Sweet Ill tune in for it but that's about it, the rest is garbage. If you want you can tell them Bill Cassidy from the DARQ Podcast said that.

Sounds like you need to learn how to use the tipping feature in Bitcoin. You could have probably gotten your tx through a lot faster if you'd paid 4 or maybe 5 cents to confirm the tx instead of the usual 3ish cents.
Or I could just keep using DASH? Yeah Ill do that.

I call bullshit. You do not.

Oh really? Are you the all mighty god of calling bullshit?

Attempting to find solutions to the problems that exist is what I believe. Didn't say decentralized storage is the answer but it's pretty obvious centralized storage is not the answer. Just look at all those boobies!

That's hostile and untrue.

You mean like that ginger comment you allowed to be broadcast on your show? You mean hostile like that? You mean like untrue, like when your friend or co host or butt buddy called Evan a scammer? With no proof? Just assumptions? You mean untrue like that? Or do you mean untrue like when you call yourself a podcast/youtube host? Your just a guy making videos talking gibberish.

Anyways I had my fun. Ill be checking out that bit of your show where you read my comments out loud. Ill be waiting for the insults and lies and assumptions as well.

Just to be clear...and again I am the only one that seems to want to stay on the topic of this thread.

This isn't about hiring another PR company, or complaining that this is a bad idea, or that the event is private, or that dash is this or that. I am not even asking for an update about how the meeting went.

I am suggesting that some announcement or article to be posted about the event that shows dash in a positive light.

Simple request send out a few tweets and posts on reddit or wherever saying we did a great job and maybe something about what we talked about.

I AM DYING RIGHT NOW.

Just wanted to pop in here and remind everyone that junseth is a notorious troll, and should be Ignored. I myself am merely a nimwit.

In fact, please vote for me in this year's scammy's as the dumbest man in Bitcoin.

InTheWoods did you notice that you are the only person talking about Transform PR ? It looks like an obsession - give it a break :) Seriously.
You have your experience and opinion about this company - I get it and I respect it. To me, as a PM, this project does not exist anymore - it is closed. Gone. Chill out.

I was referring to PR campaign in general (not to any company). I can see a big difference between the event in Miami supported by PR agency and the last one.
In Miami we have had a great media coverage (before and during the event), good advisory service and big interest of public. You could also observe a nice price appreciation (one of the reasons for this was the PR campaign). These are the facts - I know you have other opinion and again I respect it. Nevertheless, I am sticking to the facts and measures as a PM - no matter how lousy they are to you, they are still better to me than emotion-based opinions.
Last event was not so great regarding Dash media presence and price action. The only media where Dash was presented so far (except our own tweets and forum input) was the channel of junseth and I personally think it was not a great way to present our project... About the price - you can see it yourself.
My conclusion is that we are simply not able to make PR campaigns on our own. We do not have enough manpower, connections and skills. Maybe it is too early for any campaign but I see clearly that we need external support with this (no matter which company would it be).

PS. The video is funny

You guys should submit an advertisement to our channel. We don't charge for those, and will air it if : it's funny/ridiculous or obnoxiously pumping, and it's under 60 seconds.

Anyone in this forum can submit the ad, and we'll preserve your anonymity. So, feel free to undertake this ad on your own even if no one here approves of your ad.

Here you go. It's only 30 seconds so maybe since instantx is so fast you can run it twice.

More Satoshi Table feedback... min 13:40

It would seem junseth and derosetech are well respected in the community contrary to what tungfa believes. In retrospect, an interview with them would have helped. I guess someone persuaded the Dash team that it's best to ignore these guys.

Evan can still accept their interview offer. They have said a couple of times they'd like to have Evan on their show.

Yes Juneseth and Chris DeRose are trolls, but they are needed in the crypto-space. Yes they talk shit on everything that is not bitcoin but so do a lot of other people in bitcoin that I hold in high regard. I certainly do not agree with a lot of what they say but I do listen to their podcast "Bitcoin Uncensored." I like how they put pressure on everyone to prove their coin or chain is not a scam, WE NEED THAT! I do not like that some people in the space are privately meeting with shady characters like Bruce Fenton, Brian Armstrong, etc. Thank you Juneseth and Chrise DeRose for crashing the party!!!

For everyone that hates these two guys, so be it....they are easy to hate on, especially with such terrible jokes. I can't blame Evan or anyone else for not wanting to talk to them because they would be a handful but....someone from the community with some balls should do their show. I keep hearing Evan, Fernando, and others on LetsTalkBitcoin shows, so why isn't anyone willing to go on Bitcoin Uncensored??? Who cares if they talk shit, a lot of people follow these two so someone should get the information about DASH out no matter what the platform. If DASH isn't a scam, then prove it to these guys and their audience with the facts. These guys aren't out to get DASH, they are just doing what they do best, stirring up shit and frankly I enjoy it. I see potential in DASH but attending the Bruce Fenton's circle jerk is much worse than talking with these guys.
