Pre-Proposal Poker/Twitch/Ambassador

For something like this I’d like to see 1-2 months at a time or use an escrow like greencandle.io.
Do you currently have a flowing on playing poker via twitch stream or will you be starting a new stream channel?

Thanks for your input Froole, I understand why this is something where people may want it in 2-3 months increments or to use an escrow service. I am not 100% familiar with how greencandle.io operates but if they just hold and release on specific dates I wouldnt object at all. The reason I wouldnt want to submit a proposal every 2-3 months is it would take a little time to gain full traction. I'd be leaving my fulltime job to pursue the opportunity. If this would to pass I would really like a little security on my side so I am not worried if the proposal is going to pass every month based on a couple months results. This especially critical in poker where variance can cause players to have losing weeks, months, several months even if they are playing optimally.

I currently don't have a Twitch channel. I have been watching the poker streamers daily since 2013 and have seen what works and what doesnt. Streaming is a talent and something I would progressively get better at while adjusting to the nouances of players adjusting to your strategy by watching your channel. The biggest factors of Twitch poker streams success besides playing well are sticking to consistent schedule so create an audience and being personable. This would be a job and I would treat it like one both on and offline.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or cocnerns. Really appreciate it!

greencandle general has set milestones and once you hit a milestone they release the funds.
So 25 dash a month. What is the planned distribution of these funds?
I am uncertain this is good use of the budget. If you would of already had something going and proven result then 25 dash could be very well worth it. But you don’t have a part time twitch going so I am on the fence.

Thanks Ftoole,

Greencandle seems like a great option for this sort of proposal.Does Greencandle hold funds in USD or in Dash? Curious because when I originally wrote this Dash was $900. The goal would be to have 20k USD per months for the project. I am not sure what milestones could be implemented to make this work best but would be open to ideas.

I understand your concern about not having an established Twitch community however I can ensure you that I would do everything in my power to make it grow and be a great organic way to market Dash to the poker community. The biggest thing about growing a community on Twitch poker is a consistent schedule, running deep in tournaments, interacting with your viewers, and a good personality. My full-time job would 100% be promoting Dash on Twitch poker, the general poker community, sports betters, as well as trying to get as many online casinos to accept Dash (which I have started to have some preliminary talks). I would have no other work commitments and would be 100% dialed in to this project.

Rough Budget (the price change made me adjust
15 - Poker (tournaments, cash games, hyper turbos, small sports bets) - 15% to charity
5- promos (giveaways, freerolls tournaments)
10 - Sales, Dash twitch streamer, poker/gambling sponsorship representative for Dash, Any help with live events needed by the community (a have ton's of background)
2 - For WSOP Promo

Not bashing on past approved proposals however this would be far more effective then a ton of proposals I see getting approved because poker players/sports betters already have a hard time getting money onto and off of gambling sites. Banks don't want to be apart of it and Dash is the perfect option.

I would love to hear people input on this both positive and negative. I can promise I won't let the Community down and I would be all in on this project!

Thanks GrandmasterDash, appreciate your input. Why do you think I should go smaller if their is a third party like greencandle? Do you think breaking it up into 2x 6 month proposals or 3x 4 month proposal would be better? My concern in breaking it up into small proposals is 1) I'd constantly be worried if the next proposal would be approved (meaning I'd have to sacrifice some time/energy into other full time opportunities just in case) and 2) I don't want 1-2 month poker results to determine the proposals value or worth - their is variance and poker and even the best players in the world can have losing weeks, months, years.

Ultimately the goal is to drive poker players and gamblers to use Dash over any other crypto or payment option. Why? because poker players can use Dash right now the only problem is they don't know they can. Twitch would help and it'd also put pressure on online casinos to adapt Dash into their own sites. It is my belief that this targeted marketing towards a niche that can adopt Dash now is perfect and is far superior to banner ads or some of the other approved proposals that are targeted to an audience who has less everyday use options.

So here's the problem. You want $20k a month and in return you will stream on twitch - but you don't have any viewership. What if you only get like 20-30 viewers at a time? It's very possible it could be even less. Also - how good are you at poker? If you're shit, you had better be fun to watch.

Sod Green Candle, am not a big fan of theirs. Am hoping they get some real competition but so far they keep poking their sticky fingers into all the escrow services.

"I'd constantly be worried if the next proposal would be approved"

mmm good, that's the way it should be, you gotta work for it.

Given your results, and a quick glance at those names on sharkscope (poker player tracking site), your big win wasn't even in in the past 2 years, it was back in 2012, so your post is pretty disingenuous in that manner, additionally your name nomaldiagram is your most recent trackable name, and it's down -$8k. Linking to 1 decent score, + a few small wins over a 5 year stretch is pathetic, and I doubt you're a pro, or particularly good at the game. Perhaps you're very personable, perhaps you're great at building a fan base, perhaps you've got some skills that could make you a better option, but given what evidence you've shown thus far, you've got nothing. So the question is, does Dash want to pay someone who might have won $50k or something over 5 years, $15k+ per month to promote Dash? Poker, is not an easy game by any means, but poker in 2012 vs 2018, are two very, very different things, tons of pros have been forced to quit because they couldn't keep up with the game, and I highly doubt you're any different from that. Showing results from 2012, having losing results in 2016, and having no other evidence for any of your claims, makes the decision here simple.

Now, what would a good poker twitch streamer look like, and how much would they be worth? I don't know how to quantify that last question, but a good poker streamer on twitch who would be a solid brand ambassador or whatever for Dash, would be someone who already had a large following on twitch, and averages a good amount of viewers when streaming. Almost certainly, they'd have to play on pokerstars, because that site has the most traffic by a huge amount, thus only streamers on the site pokerstars.com, actually get decent amounts of views on twitch. Most american poker streamers get single digit, to low double digit average viewers on twitch, which is basically just crickets, and that usually takes them a while to build up, even if they're actually good at poker.

Given all of that, I am incredibly confident that this would be a complete waste of money, and almost any twitch poker/dash combo would be unprofitable and a waste of time, unless the player already had a built up fan base and an amount of viewers that makes sense for the price being asked.

In case this comes up again and I don't catch it, to be clear, if someone wants to be a twitch poker ambassador for Dash they'd need the following things (in my expert opinion).

1 - They'd need to play on Pokerstars. No other site draws in anywhere near as much attention, because no other site has anywhere near as many players.
2 - Their fanbase must already be established, and large enough to warrant the price they're asking.

Without that, it's a waste of money. (edit - also, to be clear, as someone who has >500 dash and also plays poker professionally, it offends me that someone with such results would ask for so much, which is why the language here is perhaps harsher than is necessary, I'd value this actual offer at something like 1-2k a month, and it'd still be a waste of money)
