A little about how this vending machine business is done.

There are always local companies that handle vending machine delivery and maintenance. these thignsa re too big and heavy to be shipping around. So, there's always some local vending machine repair company with a collection of older machines for sale. Not much money, usually.

If you buy one of them, they can make sure it's spruced up and fully working, and deliver it to the location of yuour choosing.

You never have to touch, or even see, the machine.

It could then be converted to DASH (only) on-site in an hour or three. By any half-competent maker type person.

Or @camosoul
Or @Solarminer

If a few people got off their butts and found willing hosts, we might get a proposal rolling for the associated travel costs.

If we can fly Evan around and pay for his hotels, we can certainly pay for people to do something tangible.

It obviously wouldn't make sense to create such a proposal if there were not first some machine needing conversion. As such, the idea isn't getting much exposure. It depends upon the community to make a move first.

I just thought I'd mention it because this was described to all core members back in January and they kept it under wraps.

You really wouldn't have to do anything but find a place for the machine to live. You can use a variety of incentives. Say, the place where the machine lives gets to keep all the money? Could tie-in with that other thread I started...

An IX-enabled DASH payment terminal that just happens to live inside a vending machine... Seriously, nobody wants this?

"An IX-enabled DASH payment terminal that just happens to live inside a vending machine... Seriously, nobody wants this?"

That is genius sir! What plans do you have for this, it seems you have put a lot of thought into this...

It was genius a year ago. Now, it's nothing, because the community has opted not to do it.

It's great because vendors don't have to commit their entire business to it, yet all the benfits become obvious to them. Just make a little room for a machine. The vendor can witness it working. The vendor can witness the money. In their own store. Customers asking when they can pay for everything in the store with DASH. The vendor can witness the lack of chargebacks. The vendor can witness the lower fees. The speed. The vendor experimces the same AML/KYC stuff they already do; no new compliance nightmares, costs, time-wasting, porking the budget. The vendor witnesses the total absence of identity info, therefore, no possible fraud. Therefore, no PCI compliance. The vendor observes that they have become a crypto nerd mecca and THEY come to US asking when they can accept DASH for everything, just like their customers keep begging them to do...

No talking. Doing. Observable actions. Not empty promises.

No endless money pit proposal with zero results, endless excuses, wildly over-complicated plans that will never be anything but a hole into which you keep throwing free DASH, making a fool of the project...

But crypto is all about the ponzi/hype/pump, and that's just talk. Doing is outside of the scope of DASH...

I'd like to put a [/sarc] tag on that, but there is over a year of proof that the indolence is real.

But, here's the catch. It's up to the community to drive this; which is why it has never happened. I can't do it for you. The MNOs said they don't want to hire an outsider, even thought the insiders are porking like mad... This is the compromise. You have to put in the foot work because you don't want to pay someone else to do it. If you don't make the effort to get any vendors interested, there's no reason to pay anyone to do the rest of it...

Here's an idea. Shopping malls. The machine would be indoors, under observation from vandals... And the vending company that supports them would probably be involved...

In the USA, Democrat meddling in geographical areas with lots of Democrats, has generated regulations, fees, taxes, tarriffs, permits, licenses etc., have made it impossible for anyone but really large pre-existing vending empires to do this. See Democrats are exclusively for big business, because nobody else can survive their behavior. As they kill off business, everyone gets on welfare, and gets mad that they aren't rich, have no opportunity, etc. But I digress.

If you live in one of these depressed socialist areas (Kommiefornia, Spew York, Ill-inois), it's going to be harder to do. Some places make it (slightly) easier for the business owner to have their own machines themselves (some treat it like nothing more than a refrigerator as long as it's on the same premises as the business that operates it), but harder on the conglomerated vending entities that lease space to distribute their own machines. You'll have to try a little and do about 15 minutes of google research to find out. Maybe call city hall? Laws are usually online. Is that too much to ask? Phone calls usually don't help because the people answer the phones generally don't know, can't read, etc... Check the definition of "vending machine operator," it usually doesn't include 1 guy with a machine in his own shop, but refers to huge organizations that lease space for their machines. The dictionary means nothing to government, don't assume that you know. Check the definitions, because they very often invent their own definitions for words that are not what Webster would suggest. Do you care about DASH so little that you can't be bothered to do this? I can't possibly do legal research in every village, town, city, county, province, parish, state, country on Earth and hand the answers to you.

All you have to to is research the one where you live, and have a few conversations in your every day life, with people who are already familiar with your face.

camo u are cracking me up
what legal action ?
I NEVER heard of anything

Its fine to play hardball in the open market with competitors. But, when it is extended to infighting, that's a good sign to get out. People this desperate to maintain power and control oflver a supposed DGBB/DAO cannot be trusted and I will not be involved with such trash.

Keep pretending that you don't know... Gotta keep up the show for the SuckerNodes.

Threatening frivolous lawsuits to bog down progress of anything not preordained by the king. That's how far they're willing to go, MNOs take note.

I'll be discussing no further details as anyone with experience knows, retained counsel always recommends "no comment."

Fuck off and die you dirty shits.

MNOs need to wake the fuck up.

I am not sure what u are on but the paranoia might have got the best of you !?

All plans cancelled by legal threats by core.

Being a member of the Core team I am interested in further information on the legal threats and/or lawsuits Core ./. Camosoul as well.

If you are not able to or don't want to disclose your information in public, please follow up on our PM discussion.

Thanks,
Holger
