I knew #6 would get the most votes since it's "cool". Thing is we don't need cool we need marketability. I will say again can we use the most marketable logo (#2) and use the "cool" sharp design idea (#6) for the Darksend design. I'm saying this because I believe it will be better for Darkcoin long term.

I expect there will be a window of time during which the selected logo can be modified & tweaked. We will own the copyright on it after all. Then we could have another vote for the best version and go from there.

Yes, and I know you're probably all thinking that we're calling it DuckCoin because of the bird. but you're wrong. It's actually because we're ducking the prying eyes of those would violate our right to transactional privacy.

Sorry, I just think #2 is ugly. Too busy. Great for playing Tic-tac-toe though.

I chose #2 as well. Most mass-appealing to me. I like the logo and color scheme but NOT THE COIN.. The coin would need work.

6 looks neat, but in a novelty way. I don't think it's a good choice.

It's not super minimalist... but it shows a blockchain with a dark spot in the middle. It means something and is easily recognized. People will see it and be curious without the negative vibe. It's not the coolest design just the most effective imo.

Who's the silly statist goose that put an (R) on a cryptocurrency logo?

Voted for the popular one of course, but I hope that doesn't effect the coin design. The coin design is perfect and should remain.

First is the worst, second is the best, 3rd is the one with the hairyest chest.

IF YOU DIDN'T PICK NUMBER 2 YOUR CHOICE WAS BAD AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD

I like number 2 because it looks like it could be a legit tangible coin, and it fits well as a logo.

4 is totally my pick too. Solidarity! Sadly I think we're losing the race.
I like #4 as well. Unfortunately, a vote like this doesn't allow for compromise, which would be, imo, healthier if one logo is loved by the masses but doesn't resolve the issues or needs that are required for a successful campaign. Not everyone understands imo the true needs of our coin's marketability. I feel like #6 is wrong, but I'd defer to several of the others, especially if someone with a knack for this kind of thing could put in their 2 cents

#6 looks good. I know we talk about re-branding quite a lot in this early stage, and it's much too late to change the name now. There are already too many established services/exchanges/links that direct to darkcoin, so we really have to own this brand and promote it for it's positive, privacy and security-centric philosophy

Personally I'm liking number 6 and 2. I hadn't seen anything like this posted/suggested so I thought I'd toss out some food for thought. This new logo will set the stage for the future branding and marketing of DarkCoin. To ensure the coins identity is secured the creator(s) should look to trademark the name and logo. The name is easy. The logo is a little different. A logo chosen needs to be free and clear of any and all trademarked/copyrighted materials and must be turned over by the contractor so no future claims can be made against it. The hand-off of the logo to the owner needs to be written so that the designer agrees to release full ownership of all rights upon payment in full. On top of that the designer cannot use any existing fonts or graphics. If someone else created the font, for example an open source font, you really can't trade mark that design. You will never own the font. So what I'm getting at is the winning design needs to be 100% original. I'm not sure if design 2 and 6 use open source fonts but if they do they need to be changed.

I remember seeing a version of 6 with a little keyhole inside the D. I think that's better.

Ok, so I've selected the winning design on designcrowd. Now we have 7 days to request any revisions from the designer. Do we have any revisions we'd like to see (i.e. that we couldn't easily do ourselves)?

Other than maybe experimenting with different color schemes (which we can do), I like it the way it is, sans keyhole.
I'd be interested to know if it uses a publicly available or custom-made font, though.

Ok, I'll ask.
