Nothing.

This is not bitcointalk right?

So, why do we want trolls (that are infesting the other forum - but i pity them given that they are losing money every day) also here?

Just avoid this. It's probably the very same team that is making some 2.0 trolling by not attacking dash with the usual memes, creating new ones that are, if possible, even less logical and real.
I am happy that they get a couple of some ***coins we all know as payment every month.
I can't stress how i don't care about the opinion of someone who either is trolling or doesn't understand the very basics of economy.

I'd like to buy BTC for 10 cents, or Apple stocks for 20 cents. Or a Picasso when they were almost free.
I AM ENTITLED

Please...

I think you dont understant the very basics of economy.

Cryptocurrencies are (supposed to be) MONEY. Cryptocurrencies are supposed to be a medium of exchange. They are NOT supposed to be commodities, stocks, or store of value.

Unfortunately some clever guys made you believe that something that is not a currency can be named and be called "currency". Thats why crypto"currencies" are until now a total failure and they didnt manage to compete at all the real federal money.

They changed the definition of the word currency (similar to what they did to many other meanings, like anarchy, freedom, democracy e.t.c.) in order to confuse (and control) naive guys like you. Currency derives from the world current which has the meaning of something that circulates. If something is stored and does not circulate, it is not a currency, it is not money. This is what Dash is, this is what Bitcoin is. They do not circulate in real life, they are used by the cryptotards as a store of value, as stocks, as collective items (as stamps), thats why they shouldnt be named currencies at all.

IMF said:
In short, money can be anything that can serve as a
• store of value, which means people can save it and use it later—smoothing their purchases over time;
• unit of account, that is, provide a common base for prices; or
• medium of exchange, something that people can use to buy and sell from one another.

Well, it seems someone needs to go back to basics...

Kid, i don't want to enlight myself too much but believe me, I have some arguments regarding "understanding of economics".

Regarding the money as a store of value, believe it or not, a $ (or whatever coin) of today had a different relative value 30 years ago (or theoretically yesterday), and its buying power changes on a very daily basis.

Coins are a way to store value and transfer it. They are just way more liquid than a Picasso, but the Apple stock I made in my example aren't too far of a stretch. You may pay a service with an Apple stock: it's liquid. Only problem - you have to sell it if you want to have some more "liquid" money; you can't sell 0.05434 parts of it.
A crypto can be sold or used up to a minor fraction. It's extremely easier to use even than a $/€/£. But in the end, if it wants to be like that, it WILL change its value over time.

The last part of the class is that one of the actual issue with BTC (and Dash) it's that they actually fluctuate WAY too much. Although it's considered normal that the $ can change 2-3% daily, and extremely rarely 5-6%, this is the hourly change of our beloved cryptos. With spikes (hopefully +) of 20-50-100%. It's hard to consider them a store of value if they change too much; that's way "slow rise">"Insanely quick rise" (still i am ok with dash going up so much, in this phase).

I'll tell you that if you magically go back in the 70's with a Delorean and get some thousands $ of coins from just 40 years ago, putting them in free risk bonds (you know, something like masternodes...) today you'd be VERY rich.

And if you get the Delorean and go back to gold standard, believe me you may afford many, many masternodes. And this isn't about coins only - many things are a "store of value" that will multiply their value by 10000%s over time.

Hope i made your life easier.

TIP: if you buy dash now, as you should, at about 28$, you may be in the position to make a, say, 1000% gain when they are at 300$ (plus adding some value from masternodes or shared masternodes). Are you going to burn the good gain you did cause some guys are entering the dash world at 300$ and you'll fill pity for them?
Highly doubtful.

I wont buy. I havent buy when bitcoin cost 1$. Do you think I will change my mind now?
Money is a social thing. And it has to belong to all in order to be accepted , and not belong to a single generation. I didnt want to be part of the generation 2009-2010 (bitcoin) and for sure I dont want to be part of the generation of 2014-2016 (Dash). I belong to the money of the future. This is what you dont understand. And I work, and I want to get paid and I invest only to the money of the future.

I am the smart future, and I dont have the vice to collect useless items, like bitcoin, dash, stamps or tulips. You are so funny. The future laughs at your naiveness, to collect such a useless and antisocial item like Dash, and believing that this is (or may become) currency one day.

You may say, but I am rich now! Yes you are, the same were the tulip collectors, for a glimpse of time.

Ok, you won.

Let me know when you create your coin that won't transfer value or give any possibility to the holder.
I see a bright future.

Cheers

If you are a masternode it is in your own hands.
Vote wisely in the governance system of Dash, and you may turn your tulip into gold.
If you wonder how the money of the future will look like, have a look at the first try here (my comment is hidden , you have to reveal it). This a first attempt to create a time-space symmetric money. This is what Dash should immitate, with the help of governance of course. Because even if you have a coin perfectly time-space symmetric, if you dont have the governance (which is Dash's unique property) , then you will again fail. Humans dont wont to be forced to do the perfecrt, they want to chose it, and this is where governance stance. It is the human nature. Humans are political animals, they want to have the freedom of choice.

as we head towards migrating $MUE to X11 & MN code reading these discussions gives us valuable insight into the mechanics of the Dash code

I'm just a python hacker that's studied a lot of crypto and likes to

My share disbursements and signed reports are fully automated:

And, if I don't log into my dev box for a month, all deposits get sent back to their origination addresses by that same system.
Each deposit is documented, an origination address is selected by majority contribution, and signed by my gpg key.

I do everything I can to be transparent in communication and efforts.
I run shares as a community service, not a business. Is why I don't advertise.

Hope that answers some of your questions.

back to coding.... :)
Awesome, thank you sir. I am very satisfied with your response, you have my respect.
