MIT takes over Bitcoin dev funding...I wonder if MIT would support Dash Devs too?

why would we do that ?
asking for regulation, centralisation and admitting that we failed to implement a supporting system , just as BTC does right now ?
i do not think so

Nothing like that... We already have a support system that has been proposed by the Devs. Less for the funding... although if its free it wont hurt and will add the universities legitimacy to Dash... if its unconditional support that is offered how could you lose? Is it the right kind of support? How can we know if we don't ask. Who knows where we will bump into our new best friends lol could be more for the opportunity to invite more people to the fun, especially people who have offered to help Bitcoin devs, and it doesn't seem to be a support with any conditions or regulation (I didnt read that unless I missed something)

Universities usually focus on research, that other stuff goes to the legislative, executive, judicial combo... Many companies work with universities on different levels, especially advanced research and technology projects. I wouldn't necessarily limit it to only one university either... It would have to be analysed on a case by case basis of course and reviewed with time. Its kind of like submitting a tender since they seem to have announced an offer. We tell them what we can do, tell them we are building this for everybody, even them, they tell us what they can do, we do it or we don't, same as them.

What red flag, this looks extremely promising from what I read, maybe you could point out something that is red flag in there? Sorry might have missed it I read it quickly...

Im currently listening to Bill Cassidys podcast and he mentioned the data thing with ripple so I understand what you mean there, but don't you think it would be cool to work with universities and other major parts of society while developing and implementing this wonderful payment solution?

I think the more solid and respected institutions we are connected to, the more contacts we will have and the more social penetration we will achieve, hopefully as efficiently and fast as possible.
If we choose to work alone and not invite the big actors, we don't invite all the good things they can do for Dash too. I think the point is to get the big actors to eventually want to use Dash too... I think that means at least extending the hand to them, it is however important to let them know we respect privacy here at Dash and that that isn't negotiable, after all we care about their privacy too.

In this way the more big actors we get on our <<side>>, the stronger we will be and the more other big actors will come over and join with time.
