I saw an idea like this already mentioned at least once on these forums.
I think it has merit and should be considered as one of the potential answers to scaling.
But as I don't know the extent of the plans for Evolution, it may already have some solutions that would make this idea obsolete.
Also, we are still far away from needing it.
