If this is real, it's outragious!

Ahh, the ESF, governments sanctioned market manipulation at its finest. Nice one Stef, its very rare the ESF gets a mention in the news and when they do it's always downplayed and with philanthropic overtones but an insight into their activities would open up a Pandora's box, they and their kind (the US aren't the only ones playing this game) turned the rough road of global economics into a relatively smooth road heading over a cliff face. Ever wonder why gold, silver, commodities, the forex markets, anything that could be used as a reference point for the value of the dollar frequently behaves irrationally and seems completely out of whack with what's happening in the real world? That's called "protecting the interests of the US dollar", the job the ESF is sanctioned to perform.

Seriously, the government, banks and stock exchanges, etc... all act like the biggest crooks in the world, but the citizens don't care. It's ok to them because they "care about the common folk" or something. I don't think that will ever change.

I think most folks don't pay much attention to it because they have more than enough to worry about as it is and if they ever run short they can just turn on the news and get hundreds of new things to worry about without ever coming into contact with the principle cause of their worries, an economic system that's long, long overdue a revamp. Mention some of the key points, "the central bank is a private company owned by anonymous shareholders", "the money in your pocket comes into existence when someone takes out a loan", etc. and the eyes glaze over, maybe a brief period of shock and amazement but before too long its forgotten in favour of the pre-packaged drama of the week or just how the hell they're going to pay their mortgage/rent this month... with money conjured up out of thin air and backed by a rigged casino and greed, it's either laugh or cry :/

The ESFs mandate probably made a lot of sense 80odd years ago, just like the federal reserves did 100odd years ago and in principle that fund could serve a very useful purpose but in practice its being used to drive the dollar to artificially high values and creating a huge risk of reaching a breaking point where it can't overcome the true strength of global competition and the whole house of cards comes a'tumbling down. The smoking gun... amidst all that the 8 year boom/bust cycle the ESF was primarily intended to prevent continues unabated and guess who makes the most from that cycle... You don't have to look far, billions of dollars worth of stock and real estate swept up with round after round of QE, "our saviours, taking the loss and saving us from ruin, huragh". Lol, not hard to take a loss when you're creating value from thin air and getting real-world value in exchange and even better, you can pass it off to the taxpayer later for a 100% gain! Am I ranting? Yup... best leave it there :/

Ugh, I wrote this last night, I think, or this morning? I've been sick and probably fell asleep while writing, laptop on my chest in bed, LOL. I've woken up several time this way the last 48 hours! It's a wonder the laptop didn't fall on the floor and brake?

The American Mafia is the American Government. It wasn't that long ago I was a normal person who wondered why people hated Americans. LOL. Now I'm one of those "nut cases" that has had her eyes open.

Occupy Wall street was covered with the media asking the dumbest people there why they were there and what they didn't like about the banks, etc.... and made the whole movement look stupid. We are so manipulated by the media, it's amazing. But I grew up thinking our uncensored media was the backbone of our world. Stupid me, the media is owned by big conglomerates who have their own vision to mind control us with.

Yah, OK, I am also ranting and sounding like a nut, but yah, "eyes open, no fear" (Bitcoin Rush)

What's up with you Stef? Whatever it is, get well soon :)

I keep looking at that public awareness budget and thinking "wow, that's a big number"... Not that it isn't worth while, there's plenty of companies that would charge more than that just for Tao's quality of coverage alone but couple that up with the Dash Nation and add a full spectrum national news channel... lol, DNN :) The mainstream news networks have cranked the FUD up to 11 and even the most gullible tabloid readers are feeling like they're being force-fed the party line and are craving something less synthetic. There's a big market for an unbiased media outlet, that sounds like a pipe dream from here with countless anonymous troll and shill accounts ready to jump on anything that doesn't fit with their agenda and spam it to oblivion but maybe that's something Dash nation could accomplish. One thing's for sure, the trolls have certainly given us enough material to work with for building defences :/

Mafia and government... yeah, it's a bit like "terrorist" and "freedom fighter", it all depends on the point of view :) Often meant to look into what went on between the Mob era, the Al Capone days and the present day in the states because if the mob didn't make it all the way to the top then some of those at the top certainly adopted their methods :/ The same applies to the spread of religion and banking though, scary how much they have in common when you start looking into it.
