From now on, new users will be approved based on their first few posts

To cut down on spam, all new users posts will be approved manually. We check the queue multiple times per day, these restrictions will be lifted after a certain number of posts.

Additionally, you can email forum [at] dash.org if you have been in other community channels for some time with your username and we will approve your account immediately.
 
Some users who should have perms to bypass the queue are still getting stuck because the group didn't apply, I will apply it manually to those users. I suspect it's just because we have a lot of users here, 90% of which can likely be culled...

@Dans that's why your post didn't show up earlier, I've applied the group to you manually
 
Additionally, I have purged any members who have never commented, reacted or created threads and not been online within the last year or so - also any banned users have been deleted from the user database as well.

This puts us at a reasonable ~10k members as oppose to the old ~95k

There's still a bug somewhere it seems, you were definitely in the group then when you commented the system... removed you from the group? I'll try to figure out what's going on today and fix it for good - it also happened to Dans

EDIT: That should be it, @xkcd I assume you have 2FA on? The group was only promoting with 2FA on... :)
