So I'm sitting here figuring out the best way to create a common ground between technically challenged individuals and technically savvy ones when it comes to creating an angle for explaining Dash, then I realized I didn't even REALLY understand who the ideal demographic is going to be?
Is the person most likely to see the benefits of such tech right off the bat?
Are they young? Old?
Are they rich/poor/middle-class?
Are they entrepreneurs? Are they tech focused people? Are they business owners? Are they in school?
Just to keep it simple and consistent at first I believe we should take these questions seriously, obviously the key demographic will change over time, but in order to best focus our efforts on educating people and not looking like some high-tech ponzi scheme, so we should figure this out somewhat.
My first assumption comes to some 28 -34yr old middle-class techie guy who spends enough time on the internet to be on top of this. He doesn't need convincing per say, just some facts and links to do his own digging, he knows no one or two articles is going to be enough info. He'll possibly throw in $100 bucks or so here and there, because its worthwhile tech, but never really more than that. All he needed to see was secure. private.
I feel like that is a problem, we need a couple different messaging platforms to suite the other demographics because assuming everyone is going to be super research oriented, we are crazy.
I think Bitcoin is finally catching on because people started off using Farmville cash so it was just a little step further from that. If we intend to literally build virtual corps, also do currency, voting and all the other amazing things at one time then we need to market each of this differently, to their ideal demographics. So whoever is running the dash website designs should take that into consideration when you are thinking about who you are designing for. Simplify that tier-setup design and its benefits, decentralized virtual companies & their benefits, etc etc.
I hope that all makes sense. Would love some feedback on the subject. Thanks!
