DashNation.com Soft Launch

This guy was motivated enough in the relatively short time the campaign was running, to make a shirt and share that he was proud to be a part of Dash Nation. To have a strong sense of community belonging and spreading that news via word of mouth is incredibly important for network
How much more proof do you need on this? I know what I'm talking about and I'm good at what I do. Noting that this campaign is only one aspect of what I do, I will continue to do it for Dash as well as my other responsibilities in my proposal. Please support me as community lead.

Yep i pretty much wear a dash t everywhere i go now. I tell anyone willing to listen about DASH, and i try to talk small retailers into accepting digital cash.. Go DASH Go!

I like to keep you on your toes... I need to make new shirts now with the new dashnation web site. Keep up the grass root efforts guys we are bringing people into dash nation 1 at a time...

If you wanna make a whole batch, i'll help you resell them for Dash or maybe even buy some from you myself to do giveaways with...

How do you feel about flags and or lawn signs? Think if we got enough people with Dash lawn signs we could literally start an exponential growth spurt?

Shirts + Stickers + Flags + Billboards + Cheap Lawn Signs = world domination?

edit: but lets make sure they are all of high quality though! :]

And I feel it's important to reiterate to lurkers that the goal of Dash Nation is to promote Dash and build the global (without borders) community and network effect. Not to start my own Nation as Supreme Leader. @GreyGhost @yidakee

Right the network effect, one problem I live in the US where we have a thing called the HOA. They just banned flags and lawn signs in the neighborhood i live in. So i am left with shirts stickers and word of mouth....i can order a small batch of shirts my local guy can do heat transfer prints for $8ea i can ask for bulk discount then we just need to find a deal on cheap shirts...

My personal opinion, dash nation and idea of something to connect with is not stupid. But current execution feels like total failure to me. Instead of helping to build dash.org which is the most important site for anyone you built something that agregates news, we already have reddit/slack for that and facebook. These places even work better.

Dashnation should be a platform that makes community real. It should be competition to nation states and extend what Dash-Core and other clients do for people. Spreading articles as main job is not good. Everyone does it automaticaly, encouraging someone on a website? Totaly lost time.

https://bitnation.co/join-bitnation/ this is how dashnation should look and work. Or it could be more focused on community centers. None of this is on your site.

You should think of values that you bring. There is lot of sensationalism and it could even damage dash. Please refrain from diverging people attention.

As long as I don't see added value compared to other projects I am not supporting this.

Ironically, the bitnation concept of having a more formal organization and competition to nation-states is exactly what here on the forum, Dash Nation has been heavily criticized for being (even though it's not).

IMO, reddit and slack and facebook and the forums are terrible places if you just want news precisely because they don't aggregate, and neither does Dash.org.

This.

I dont really need support anyways, doing as I please.

By the way you know I'm doing this all for free right? -_- wish i could say the same about some bloated costs the network has to deal with.

I think the scope of this project may be a little undersold ATM. We are not stupid people, and we have a vision on how to build a passionate engaged community of people who will use Dash.

All around the interwebs and the real world, we've heard nothing but positive things about Dash Nation. People are responding from all over the world, and we are only in its infancy. Creating a sense of belonging in people is very important to developing network effect.

"Use Dash." - Meh.

"Join Dash Nation, and help us to create a world of personal financial freedom and independence from governments." - Now you're cooking with a more powerful message.

What's our goal? For people to accept and use Dash? We can achieve it in many different ways, Dash Nation is just one. But make no mistake, we will attract people to Dash, and DashNation.com will grow, become multi-faceted, and become a major site to recruit, inform, and encourage people to spread the message of using Dash and why. It's the ideological angle that people respond to.

And again, this is a grass-roots community initiative.

Could you present your strategy and ways to get there? I want to see how you are going to do it. I really like the site, but without having knowledge of future features I am not impressed with current state.

Sure. We are starting slow with a content aggregator, and a mission statement page. Our next initiatives will be aimed at growing the following online and in person. We will offer learning on how to promote Dash on social media, and provide paraphernalia (at cost) to promote the idea of Dash Nation in person. We are also looking at starting a hub for jobs which pay in Dash. Honestly it's still a work in progress, but I have ideas, and I'm open to others from the community. It's going to be far bigger than it currently is, however. Would you like to be a contributor? You're on the Public Slack aren't you? Join us on #dashnation and help us out!
