DASH Quality Assurance

Not open for further replies.
Hi MNOs & DASH community!

My name is Feliz, I have been involved in Bitcoin since $130. I am actively promoting merchant adoption since December 2017. I have personally invited 500+ individuals & 100+ merchants to participate in our community. I am also developing various (open-source) DASH & Bitcoin related Apps & Websites.

I am offering a DASH Quality Assurance proposal to raise transparency & product reliabilty/quality.

(PRICE IS 20 DASH PER MONTH)

I am heavily invested into the DAO as a partial Masternode Owner, which makes up a huge stack of my assets. Therefore I have a very strong motivation to deliver a good job.

In addition the DAO will also get more exposure to 2000+ highly engaged crypto related followers on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube & Memo.

Feedback & Questions are highly appreciated.

I am planning to put this proposal up for a vote within this week.

Please download the attached PDF to get all the details.

If anyone would like to support this proposal by taking a part of the risk funding the fee, that would be very much appreciated!!

That means, you would put up a part of the proposal fee and you will get it back after that the proposal got funded.

I am willing to do that job, but I obviously need support from the MNOs to do that, so instead of waiting for the official vote, you can already vote for this proposal by funding it!

Thanks for the url links you provided regarding your open source projects.

Are the merchants that appear on the bitcoinmap.cash active ones? Can we go there and buy their products? There is already something similar, https://discoverdash.com/. What differentiates your effort/code/site to discoverdash?

In general I will test whatever is demanded by the MNOs, I will be in direct contact with the MNOs, I will receive their orders and do the job necessary.
Do you want to become an independant and paid tester of discoverdash site or of any other implemented proposal of Dash? There is already something similar, https://www.dashwatch.org. What differentiates your proposal to dashwatch?

And finally, how will you manage to be in direct contact with the MNOs? This cannot be done currently, there is no such governance mechanism available in public. You should built a polling tool (something similar to https://poll.dashwatch.org/ which is based on https://github.com/MattDash88/dw-polling-app , or something similar to https://beta.dashwatch.org/elections) in order to manage to be in direct contact with them. And of course, you should first built that polling tool, before asking the MNOs to hire you as a independant tester (that is capable to be in direct contact with them).

I know about Discover Dash and I verified all of the merchants they have listed for Venezuela, looked them up on Google Maps and forwarded that information to Discover Dash so that they could remove "permanently closed" places. This has already been part of the Quality Assurance that I have done for the DASH community free of charge, as I was personally interested in listing these merchants on Bitcoinmap and had done the work anyway.

Yes the merchants on http://bitcoinmap.cash a.k.a. http://coinmap.cash a.k.a. http://bmap.cash should most be active, the main difference to Discover Dash is that it is focused on needs of tourists, it lists Restaurants, Bars, Supermarkets, Shops, Hotels and Spas. It does also include BCH listings in regions where there are hardly any DASH listings available, but when it comes to BCH listings its hard to find any reliable source on the internet. Many of the listings are harvested from http://anpaymap.com or from the Food&Drink section on Discover Dash. There are also listings that have been added by me personally which are exclusive to this map as I personally onboarded these merchants.

I am about to release a DASH only version of that map, which will be available on http://dashtourist.com, ASAP.

The main difference to my approach is that I do not rely on the data submitted to me, I go and get the data myself, I go and observe and I go and test. Another difference to Dash Watch is that I will be currently focused on Venezuela and I will actually test the products. Dash Watch is mainly supervising processes but they do not actually have the time to go and investigate especially not in Venezuela. Dash Watch is already working at its limits and we surely need more processes that assure the quality, as we have seen that some proposals have delivered very questionable results even as Dash Watch has been active. As you might know, there have been proposal owners that simply submitted false data to Dash Watch.

Being in contact with the MNOs is just an additional offer I can make, that means that any MNO who would like to get in touch with me can simply send me a PM on this forum or an encrypted Email. I simply want to offer to the MNOs that they have the opportunity to demand certain investigations and then if that would be necessary we could make up a poll.
Anyway my work will be very valueable raising the quality of the products developed by the DAO and engaging with me is not mandatory. I have been doing this QA job all the time, within the BCH (2018) and then the DASH community (2019), but much more as a hobby and now I want to focus more on that as I see the positive effects of the work that has already been done.

And what if some MNOs command you to go north, and others command you to go south. You cannot be in two places at the same time.
You need a poll tool.

The content of my proposal is not about me being a robot for the MNOs and my brain will not explode in a system overload if one says north and the other says south :D while I will keep in mind the interests of the MNOs as they will be paying me in the end.

I still know how to do my work autonomously, as I have been doing this QA focused on the BCH and DASH community for two years now very effectively.

I have uncovered many fake merchants being listed on various websites and I have found many bugs and I have filed many bug reports on GitHub.

I have delivered direct feedback to Bitcoin.com, Coinomi, Anypay, Hashengineering, Discover Dash, Dash Text, Dash Retail, Cryptobuyer, HandCash...

I have been very active as this is my greatest hobby which I want to take to the next level now focusing especially on DASH.

Do you propose we vote for you, and then you can do whatever you want?

Do you propose you do a job and then the MNOs decide to pay you in the end?

If it is the second case, you still need a voting tool.
Because some MNOs may want to pay you for the job you delivered, and some others not.

Hey Vazaki, the expression that they will be paying me in the end means that they are the ones in charge of funding this work, of course they pay in advance, that is the way the treasury works, but they will have the opportunity to decide that each month again, so it is a cycle of delivery, feedback and re-approval.

WATCH THIS INTERVIEW, if you are interested in getting to know me and the work I have done for the community:

It seems you have good intentions when advertising Dash into the BCH community.
But on the other hand, this video has only 316 views.
The MNOs are supposed to pay you now, for the job you have already done.
Do you think those 316 views worth 20 dash per month?

There are the results of my investigation about Discover Dash, which I did a few months ago (before Dash Mall)

I did investigate on each single merchant which is listed in the Food & Drink category for Venezuela.

These investigations led to the conclusion that George Donnelly and his team had published quite a few untraceable/fake merchants in Colombia, the rate of incomplete data and totally wrong GPS locations was the highest for Colombia.

It also led to the conclusion that the Dash Merchant team, led by Lorenzo Rey, had published an enormous amount of private unprofessional people as merchants, which are probably family members/relatives/friends of the Dash Merchant team (otherwise I wonder how the Dash Merchant team located them as they have no physical appearance, no Social Media accounts, nor registered business). Most of these merchants offer things like cake & desserts which they produce at home and they exclusively work on delivery.

From the 750 Food & Drink merchants that I personally checked on during a four day investigation of 32 hours in total I found 250 untraceable professional merchants which I could not locate on Google Maps.

I took the available contact data and categorized the merchants in PHONE, EMAIL, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK (see the attached text files) and then I contacted them via that channel to check for a response. Less than 5% responded.

I also called Papa Johns and Subways which told me that none of the Papa Johns in Venezuela accept DASH and most of the Subways were permanently closed.

94 Food & Drink merchants in Venezuela are actually reliable and are published on Bitcoin Map (there are 46 more TRAKIs which are not yet listed)

The 750 merchants are worldwide! So worldwide it might be that from the 750 Food & Drink merchants there are actually about 500 real ones (being highly optimistic).

This is the database of reliable Food & Drink merchants in Venezuela (last updated 3 months ago, next update coming this month & January including Dash Mall data):

https://github.com/theRealBitcoinClub/flutter_coinector/blob/master/assets/am-ven.json

DASH urgently needs someone on the ground in Venezuela who can travel the whole country to double check all the published merchants, with this proposal I am offering to do that job!

DASH urgently needs someone to double check the data published on Discover Dash who is independent from their team members!

I reported these results 3 months ago to the Discover Dash team, then I reported it again 1 week ago, but still many of these untraceable merchants are being listed...

A huge amount of merchants are falsely categorized on Discover Dash...

I will release a DASH only variant of Bitcoin Map ASAP on Dash Tourist Map but I have so much work to do and as I am not getting paid for this job and the demand is actually not very high yet, I have to prioritize other jobs first...

I wish I could give this Quality Assurance work a higher priority so that we can drive more customers to these merchants and actually make them happy DASH community members.

To give this work a higher priority I would have to be paid for this job, therefore I am asking the DAO for 20 DASH per month so that I can dedicate more time on that.

There are the text files which I did transmit to the team of Discover Dash three months ago, I contacted them through the Chat on Discover Dash, then also in Discord and I also contacted Mark Mason on Discord and told him about the results of this investigation. Sadly Mark Mason ignored these results and did not update the listings yet, as he might feel ashamed to remove so many merchants once again, but we must provide realiable data on Discover Dash, otherwise that page is totally useless!

Finally last week I contacted Mastermined and he said he would make sure that the listings would be updated ASAP.

Maybe you should launch a web site and present all the investigations you do.
This will help the mno/delegates to judge whether you deserve 20 Dash for this month.

I reported this bug to Liz Robuck via email weeks ago and nothing happened.

Actually I was the person who demanded the dashve.org mirror from DCG months ago as Venezuelans can not access dash.org for unknown reasons and DCG is unable to fix that.

The biggest issue for Venezuelans is still that when anyone searches for DASH on Google they get the link to dash.org which then leads to a http error.

To get this fixed the dash.org site must remove the Spanish language and afterwards remove all other languages but Spanish on dashve.org so that Google starts indexing that page and doesn't punish it for duplicate content!!!

Then in the language menu on dash.org they must simply link the word "Spanish" to dashve.org, so that everyone can still access the Spanish language even from dash.org

Afterwards any Spanish browser will see dashve.org as top entry instead of dash.org (if the language parameter in the HTML markup is set correctly)

Now I reported it on Twitter.

I am using the http://dashve.org mirror but I get the certificate error already for several weeks. Please fix this and please remove any language but Spanish from dashveorg & otherwise on dashorg so that Google starts indexing that page!

What do you think about me putting up a proposal that builds a fund for DASH bug bounties???

With these bug bounties we could fix the quality issues in a flexible manner.
