    Hi All,

I am new to Dash mining.
I have been long time in Bitcoin mining, but i left the field before 5 years ago.

For now i have couple of Bitcoin Asic miners (from Butterflylabs).

Can i use these to mine Dash ?, as it allows the use of Asic miners.

    Thanks a lot !

No since DASH uses X11 you can't mine DASH but you could use them to mine Maza Coin or another SHA256 coin.

Why not to mine bitcoin directly?

And plese, enough such a stupid questions. ASIC means that the algo is hard-coded in IC design, so you can not force this IC do something else.

So if you have an ASIC miner equipped with chips which were designed to mine cryptocurrencies based on SHA-256 algo (Bitcoin ASIC miners) - forget about any other (non-SHA256) currencies.
