I did a full reinstall using your guide and got it to work, thank you for your help. I believe part of the problem was my local wallet not loading the .conf file - I realized this after starting over. :) Thank you again.

Thank you for the guide! I seem to be having one issue though. I don't see any output when I enter "grep HotCold .darkcoin/debug.log" in my terminal in putty, and my node shuts down if I close my local wallet. What could be the issue?

Interesting, I'm having the same issue with mine. After I start my masternode on my local, cold wallet, if I shut it down the remote wallet is listed as "inactive" shortly after and not listed with masternodelist

So cool, thank god for pywallet. I was about to cry here when I recovered mine. I had already lost them in my mind so it's basically like I found $3500. My node is back baby!

In case anyone else ever runs into this problem - I ran pywallet on my drive to look for any deleted private keys. That gave me a recovered wallet, which I then placed in my darkcoin app data folder. I ran darkcoin-qt using the -salvagewallet option, and it recovered my coins!

I got it!!! Ran pywallet, salvaged the recovered wallet and it found the key! Thank you guys so much for taking the time. I'm going to back this up 10 times before I do anything, lol.

Hey flare. I was moving the cold DRK wallet on my local machine, not on the server I had the masternode set up on. I had them on seperate machines.

I am on a solid state drive as well - after doing a lot of reading I don't have high hopes. Thank you again flare - it's time for me to rest but I'll check this first thing in the AM to see if there's anything else I can try.

Just FYI - I ran Recuva, R-Studio and testdisk 7.0 trying to see if there was a previous version of the file anywhere with no luck.
