Trust Protector 2021 Elections: a public call for Andy Freer to withdraw his candidacy.

I'm relieved that Hytham has decided to run for trust protector. If we can get Hytham, Walter, and Patrick elected, I will sleep a lot better at night.

Delivery Services Using Dash as a Method of Payment

I didn't give you the Dash. You earned it by compiling data from MNOWatch for me.

Why the logical move for Paypal is to integrate Dash

"All custody of and trading in cryptocurrency is performed for PayPal by its licensed service provider, Paxos Trust Company, LLC." The real question is why doesn't Paxos support Dash? Maybe this might help...

Moving CoinJoin out of the protocol and into a separate wallet (e.g., fork of Wasabi)

"Privacy is the ability to keep some things to yourself, regardless of their impact to society. ... So privacy is a concept describing activities that you keep entirely to yourself, or to a limited group of people. In contrast, anonymity is when you want people to see what you do, just not that...

Moving CoinJoin out of the protocol and into a separate wallet (e.g., fork of Wasabi)

IF Wasabi works with Bitcoin, I assume a fork for Dash would not be THAT much work and would not involve any change to Dashcore.

Moving CoinJoin out of the protocol and into a separate wallet (e.g., fork of Wasabi)

I'm glad you asked Agnew. The Dash implementation of CoinJoin is terrible in comparison to Wasabi! We don't take advantage of Tor, and we can't offer "masternode blinding" for coin mixing. Wasabi offers both these things right now. If you don't want to use the Wasabi zkSNACKS coordinator, we...

Moving CoinJoin out of the protocol and into a separate wallet (e.g., fork of Wasabi)

Moving coin mixing out of the Dash protocol and into separate wallets and networks decentralizes this feature. There is that magic word everyone loves so much. Now how are you going to argue against that?

Evan Duffield's vision for Dash four years ago and its relevance today.

Let's talk about an advisory board. It's fitting that Evan discusses corruption at the end of his interview. If you want to see corruption, all we need is an advisory board here. We can't even find enough trustworthy, selfless individuals to populate the trust and the DIF, and you think we're...

Trust Protector 2021 Elections: a public call for Andy Freer to withdraw his candidacy.

DashWatch oversight is not needed with DCG because DCG creates professional, detailed quarterly reports. That argument is a red herring. So @vazaki3, what do think will happen if the next group of trust protectors goes rogue and, against the will of the DAO, decides to dismantle DCG?

Trust Protector 2021 Elections: a public call for Andy Freer to withdraw his candidacy.

The reason we need DCG (and the DIF) is because, "The world is a business." We need corporations representing the DAO and we need to keep core development under the command of Ryan and our wonderful CTO Bob Carroll. Andy's autocratic machine that dispenses Dash like "Scooby Snacks" to get...

For DashElectrum it probably is. I don't see a reason why we can't do both.

Evan Duffield's vision for Dash four years ago and its relevance today.

Let's talk about "trustless masternode shares." This thing has reared its ugly head once more because it's on the Dash Incubator to-do list. This is not a trivial problem and there is no pressing need for it. There is a reason why it's not on DCG's roadmap. No competent CTO would put this on the...

Evan Duffield's vision for Dash four years ago and its relevance today.

Someone posted this in the Discord; I am assuming because they want us to work on some of the potential goals Evan mentioned in this interview four years ago. Evan mentions two things worth noting: trustless masternode shares and an advisory board. Evan is/was a brilliant person, but even he was...

Moving CoinJoin out of the protocol and into a separate wallet (e.g., fork of Wasabi)

Wow. We are in agreement. We need someone to take the lead on creating a fork of Wasabi for Dash. Should we ask the DIF if they are willing to approach zkSNACKS, Ltd? Maybe this is too controversial for the DIF, but it would be the best approach IMHO.

Trust Protector 2021 Elections: Patrick Quinn

A message from Perry Woodin via email: A couple of months ago I asked Patrick Quinn to run in my place. Patrick and I are former colleagues and I have known him for a very long time. Moving CoinJoin out of the protocol and into a separate wallet (e.g., fork of Wasabi)

Even if we DON'T remove CoinJoin from the protocol, do you agree that it would be a good idea to have another option? To have a fork of Wasabi for Dash?

Moving CoinJoin out of the protocol and into a separate wallet (e.g., fork of Wasabi)

You're making a mistake that many nerds make, and that is to assume that most people are like yourself. If you explain to the average "normie" who is just buying crypto now (because Elon Musk told them it's ok) that they should mix their coins, but that there is no way to know who they are...
