Transaction fees in the block explorer

The fees is shown in the transaction details:

Fees 2.27E-6 DASH

It is a bit clearer in the Insight block explorer:

FEE: 0.00000227 DASH

Thanks, is the fee an output like any other? meaning that the change output amount equals the input minus the amount sent, minus the fee.

How is the fee data stored in the UTXO set exactly?

The miner that creates the block containing a transaction takes the fee (the difference in value between the sum of the inputs and sum of the outputs). They add up the fees for all transactions in the block and then pay it out to themself in the coinbase transaction of the block. There are some details here - https://dash-docs.github.io/en/developer-reference#serialized-blocks
