    Sgminer Doesn't Detect 280x GPU

I think I figured it out!!! Finally!!! Guess what it was? I was running, "export DISPLAY=0" instead of "export DISPLAY=:0". That's it. Isn't that ridiculous? After running all those commands, that little colon messed it all up haha.

    Darkcoin ASCII

While writing some scripts to install sgminer under Linux, I made a Darkcoin ASCII image. I thought someone else might want to use it too. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\...

    Sgminer Doesn't Detect 280x GPU

Well I never figured out how to fix this. It works perfectly on Xubuntu but I can't get it to work on Linux Mint or Arch. I have no idea why.

    Sgminer Doesn't Detect 280x GPU

Found out something odd. After I install sgminer, I can run "sgminer -n" and it detects my GPU. But then once I run the full commands: export DISPLAY=0 export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 sgminer -k x11mod ...blah... it doesn't do anything. The crazy weird thing is...

    Sgminer Doesn't Detect 280x GPU

I'm using 14.6 Catalyst driver and Linux Mint 17 XFCE 64 bit (it's a slow CPU). Wait, it has to be installed through GUI? Maybe that's my problem. -----EDIT----- I can't install it through GUI. If I try installing it through GUI, it tells me to do it through command line. Like, it says I have...

    Sgminer Doesn't Detect 280x GPU

I can't find any help on the Internet for this problem. I'm trying to run sgminer with an AMD Radeon R9-280x GPU under Linux. When I run "sgminer -n", this is the output: $ ./sgminer -n [20:42:48] CL Platform 0 vendor: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [20:42:48] CL Platform 0...

    Allowed File Types for Attachments?

What kinds of files are we allowed to attach in the forums? I'm sure there's a list somewhere on here, but I can't find it. I ask because I was hoping to create some scripts for the guides I've posted to make cpuminer and sgminer installation easier.

[Noob-Proof] How To Install Cpuminer under Ubuntu/Linux

just_mike posted an awesome tutorial, which points to here: http://cpucoinlist.com/how-to/mine-darkcoin/ I'm going to expand on the steps for installing and setting up the CPU miner. 1- Check if your processor supports the new AES-NI instruction sets. You can do this one of two ways (Method A...

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

I was thinking this too. It's called Darkcoin, but the GUI''s are really light. Apple and Samsung have made white the trend, but I don't think a dark theme would turn people off. A Goth, depressing dark wouldn't be good, but like a slick, sophisticated, cool dark would be awesome. I'd offer to...

[Noob-Proof] How to Install Sgminer, AMD Drivers, and GPU Mine Darkcoin under Linux/Ubuntu 64-bit

I actually didn't know about BAMT beforehand haha. But I use Linux anyway so having sgminer right on my hard drive is nice. Do you know if BAMT has any performance benefits or anything?

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

-----EDIT----- I was looking at the wrong options. I like #4 of the current options. -----ORIGINIAL----- Choice as!!! At first glance I liked #4, but after looking at them more closely, definitely #3. It's got a minimalistic design, and because minimalistic gui's are the trend right now, it...
