What ALT coins to watch for in 2018?

Smart contracting platforms are hard to call. Generally, I'd go for specific use cases that you can wrap your head around. In particular, I would concentrate on decentralized exchanges. messaging and invoicing. I am staying clear of reward projects; no clear winner.
IoT is interesting but not for monetary store-of-value (imo, IOTA is not a safe store of high value). Walton is interesting, but I have reservations because parts will remain closed source.
In 2018, Bitcoin Cash will surpass bitcoin and dash will safely clear $10,000, riding on the back of it's sister Bitcoin Cash. DigiByte (another big blocker) is an outlier but might also go 10x.
