I can see where you are coming from but i don't think that is necessarily true.

I think it is completely feasible for the two to co-exist. Similar to cash. If you solely transact in cash, you remain anonymous. If you choose to store your cash in an account that can be identified or tracked then you give up your anonymity.

It is not equivalent. Real life is not similar to digital life. Unfortunately not many people really understand this concept, and ordinary people tend to falsy believe that the real and the digital can be handled similarly.

Real cash does not flow into a computer network. Your digital cash flows into a computer network, and if many people into that network do not take anonymity precautions, then the one capable to analyze the network traffic can easily spot those few who take the precautions.
