How to bring dash to the people – Dashnation V0.1

Hi all,
first of all thanks a lot to Amanda for her great videos and also thx a lot to Evan and all others that devoted their time and spare resources to help make dash what it is now. Amandas video interview with Evan about dash Evolution inspired me to write the following proposal:

What is this proposal all about? This proposal is not only how to bring out Dash Evolution directly to the people, it's also how we could build a decentralized dash nation.

How to do that?

1. Make dash easy to use. First of all allow normal users to recover their accounts.

2. People use currency if they have currency, so lets spread dash to as many people as possible

3. (optional) Give incentives to use dash as currency

4. (optional) Give incentives for signing up new users

UPDATE: added an FAQ in the next post to answer some questions I received.

All numbers are open for discussion!


How could that look like?

1. Make dash easy to use:

- give users an option to sign up per handy / email / social network/ video chat

- give the master nodes the possibility to vote on resetting account passwords if the users opted in for that (verification through handy / email / social network, video chat)

Just think about the following:

Instead of saying to someone who lost his password, oh we are sorry we cannot help you...

We can say, hey you singed up with your mobile number, so we could verify you again and recover your account. Same would be true for stolen accounts...


2. Give dash to the people:

- similar to master node payout 20% of the block reward + fees is distributed equally among active verified dashnation members**

- a member is active if he has done at least one purchase from a verified evolution merchant in the last 30 days or has been active in other ways in the evolution of Dash

- verification can be done decentralized through local dash community meet-ups or video chat

- to be verified, one needs to be verified from at least two verificators***

- master-nodes vote on including / excluding members, verificators and evolution merchants

** to be fair in the beginning each member can get at max 1/10000

*** verificators are choosen similar to the masternode quorum. To encourage honesty a security deposit could be required to become a verificator. The amount a verificator get for his work, should never exceed bejond a year and never be more than 20% of what the signed up member receives.

Example:

Someone is asking: Where can I get some dash?

Instead of saying hey, you must sign up with exchange xy and then get some Bitcoin on exchange zy, transfer them to then to exchange xy and then exchange to dash, an yea make sure not to let your funds on the exchange…

We could say, hey no problem, just sign up here and get some dash per day, once you verified your account you can spent them as you want.




3. (optional) Give incentives to use dash

- 20% of received dash can be spent freely

- 80% of the dash the user gets back as reward if he buys from a verified evolution merchant

- For each purchase he can get back at max 20% of the purchasing price



Example:

Someone asks hey why should I use dash to buy something.

We could say, if you use dash, you get up to 20% of your dash back. Doesn't that sound great?



4. (optional) Give incentives for signing up people

- for each member someone helped sign up he gets 20% extra dash for one year up to max 100% extra

FAQ:
Isn't it impossible to recover accounts in a decentralized system?
Dash Evolution is based on accounts. If the owner of the account opted in the recovery option masternodes could vote in a decentralized way to set a new password / private key for the account.
As said only if the owner of the account opted in this option, and only if the owner provided a proof of his identity.

Isn't verifying merchants a bad thing to do, something that only bad central governments do?
First of all, even if the merchant is not verified, still he can use Dash to sell his products as he want. He just cannot take part in the reward program until he signed up. And still the vote would be a decentralized master node vote. Therefore there is no central government that can discriminate merchants.

Isn't giving incentives for people to sign up multi layer marketing?
In the above proposal is only one direct layer of incentives, so no multi layer. That said if we want we could of course also limit the reward to for example max 5 people.


Economics of Membership dividend (similar to masternode reward):

The more active members the less dash per member. But also the more active members, the more need for usage of dash, the higher the dash price.

If the active member number drops, then the received dash per active member increases, which encourages more to become active members (similar to master-node incentives).

Economics of incentives:

Lets say one gets 1 dash for free in one month. On top of that he can buy products from verified evolution merchants for up to 25 dash with 20% of his money back (in total at max 5 dash). Therefore he is encouraged to get 24 extra dash in this month to spent on purchasing products from verified evolution merchants. This will make dash to the preferred currency for purchasing goods and therefore the preferred currency to being paid in.

On top of that enterprises that want to take part in the money back program could also be required to follow certain ethical norms, like using open source, not harming etc. See also: [1]
