Hi everyone, I'm having a nightmare with my wallet. It gives me a fatal error and shuts every time I try to run it.

New Windows 10 computer, I first encountered problems caused by Norton. I removed Norton, deleted all files, recreated the files from the bootstrap and it worked fine. However the next time I tried to run it it shut down with a fatal error. I again deleted all the files and downloaded a new bootstrap but this time that method isn't working.

The only anti-virus/firewall I now have is Windows Defender and that is currently disabled in an attempt to resolve this. It's worth mentioning that I instruct the installer to install on the D drive to avoid clogging up my tiny SSD.

I have now deleted all files, uninstalled the program then downloaded the installer afresh. A minute or too after it begins the install the error pops up and it shuts itself down. Here is the last part of the debug.log:

Code:
2018-12-01 08:01:39 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk: Errors in block header at CBlockDiskPos(nFile=0, nPos=39907952)
2018-12-01 08:01:39 *** Failed to read block

i.e. the last block data file is broken. Since you already tried to disable/remove AVs I guess it could be some disk or file system issue. Can you check disk for errors or try using another one (or just disk C) temporary to verify?
