INTRODUCTION:
First Dash merchant adoption campaign in the Upper west region of Ghana to increase Dash utility within the region.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
There are only a few businesses in Ghana that accepts Dash as a medium of exchange. The insufficient number of businesses accepting Dash is preventing Dash users from trading with it despite the increase in usage of Dash in Ghana. Many people often find it difficult to accept dash due to lack of potential businesses accepting Dash as a medium of payment for their products and services and they resort to asking questions like “How and where to spend their dash”. From our research and from the merchant records on www.Discoverdash.com there is currently a zero number of businesses accepting Dash as a means of payment within the upper west region of Ghana, this makes adoption of Dash within the region very low.

SOLUTION
We propose to take the adoption of Dash in a dynamic, and educational way to potential businesses within the upper west region of Ghana thereby encouraging those businesses to integrate dash as a medium of payment for their products and services. We shall equip operators of businesses and market traders to understand the benefits of using Dash as a means of payment as well as how economically it is to accept Dash as a medium of payment for goods and services.
This implies that, until a number of businesses begin to accept Dash as a means of payment, people won’t start using their Dash and people won’t commit their funds into Dash since there will always be a question mark of where to spend their Dash, our solution aims at targeting more on small scale businesses across the upper west regions of Ghana to Dash usability and eventually make it more accessible for people to get their Dash spent. This initiative will in turn lead to attract more newbies and in the long run augment Dash user base.

ACTION STEPS:

  • Visit different stores/ businesses within the upper west region of Ghana to share information about Dash and its benefits with them.
  • Make business owners clear about the operation of Dash and identify the opportunity to bring evolution to their businesses.
  • We will enlighten each of the businesses about what Dash is and why it is economically wise to accept payments with Dash.
  • Meeting with management of each of the businesses to present the benefits of accepting dash as a means of payment
  • Consult owners of the businesses regarding their opinion about the adoption of Dash and to offer all the necessary information, clarifying all the important points and benefactors.
  • Take businesses through the process of how-to setup their Dash wallets as well as how to buy products paying with Dash and sell product to their customers receiving Dash.
  • After receiving approval, we will identify the business with Dash stickers such as Dash accepted here, Pay with Dash and others available to provide publicity and good image to the business
  • Register each of the businesses and list them www.DiscoverDash.com
  • Attend all the potential businesses visited in the next few weeks to see how the integration of Dash as a means of payment has improve its sales volume.
  • The use of Dash will be present from the first day, we will be sending Dash to each of the businesses geared at exposing them to how transactions are performed and making them happy with the speed of transactions, the low transaction charges, the accessibility and convenience use of the Dash wallets. We will also give out a little dash to attending consumers in the businesses.

WILL THIS BRING ANY BENEFIT TO DASH? /ROI

  • Increase number of active merchants of Dash within the upper west region of Ghana
  • Increase Dash awareness within the upper west region of Ghana
  • Increase the transaction volume of Dash within the upper west region of Ghana
  • Help Dash achieve its number one predetermined objective
  • Finally, the benefit that this proposal will bring to Dash would be the adoption of 30 businesses within the upper west region of Ghana, these businesses can also become small exchange houses because of the ease it will offer in changing the consumption of their products by Dash and also exchange it for fiat money.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The idea of this project is to increase the adoption of Dash in the upper west region of Ghana in an efficient way geared at establishing a direct contact with both merchants and the general public and making dash a payment method in the various commercial sectors. Achieving merchant adoption within the region to align ourselves with the number one objective of Dash thereby encouraging more inhabitants to make use of Dash in real life cases. Our motive is to address the various commercial sectors such as Shopping Centers, different stores, Restaurants, the tourism sector such as Hotels etc.
Through this project we can include high impact businesses within the upper west region of Ghana to integrate dash as a medium of payment for their products and services. It is not just going to be the acceptance of Dash in as many trades as possible, we in-turn to use this project as an experiential-social-transforming experience where all the parties benefit; Dash, the merchants and the general public which will be the clients through this unconventional marketing strategy. Also, this project will highlight the advantages of Dash over any other cryptocurrencies.

The price of dash goes up and down.
How will you explain this to the merchants?
Are the up and down of Dash less than the up and downs of your local ghana currency?
You are correct to identify volatility of Dash exchange rate as a deterrent for merchants to accept it as payment. Ultimately, the merchant needs to have confidence in Dash as a store of value if they're going to accept it as a form of payment. The same is true for any other currency or asset accepted as a form of payment. To date, Dash has proven a good store of value, appreciating in us dollar terms over the past few years. Any merchant that has accepted Dash for years and kept it is better off now than they otherwise would have been. Therefore, there's the need to build confidence with a merchant who wants to accept Dash.

Also, there is no way to fully ensure the merchant the full value at all times. This is the nature of digital currencies and why many merchants decide to not accept dash as a payment; it is volatile.
However, there is also the chance that the value will increase, thus netting a profit for the merchant. *All in all, any merchant who accepts Dash not only is hoping for an increase in the price of Dash but is also looking to appeal to more customers.*

Moreover, Merchants would be taught on how to quickly convert the Dash they receive into fiat currency with the presence of online exchanges such as www.ebitcoinics.com and Dash-Ex Development still in the pipeline.. This way they can minimize the risk of price fluctuation.

In addition to @LUKMAN answer, businesses might choose to accept dash for many reasons irrespective of volatility, such as being at the forefront of technology, attracting customers who use crypto or eliminating certain kinds of fraud. So it doesn't matter all the time about the up and down of Dash. You just have to push well on the benefit and dynamics of dash to enable adoption by merchants. What we need now is adoption by these merchants and all challenges will be solved one day.

DASH-EX will provide quick exchange from Fiat to Dash especially for dash users and merchants in Ghana. However, this proposal has not received funding yet. Getting more merchants to accept Dash will add value to DASH-EX operation when we finally get it implemented.

GOOD LUCK BRO
