How often does Evan show up and answer questions?

Okay. But I would question the wisdom of having the lion's share of updates for sentinel being closed source until the last minute when you guys say it is "ready". Let me know if there's somewhere else I should be looking

Sentinel is not closed-source. Here is the original:

https://github.com/evan82/sentinel

I am working every day on it: https://github.com/nmarley/sentinel/tree/required-changes

There are a couple others working on different change sets:

https://github.com/tgflynn/sentinel
https://github.com/kefkius/sentinel

Work is being done every single day in the background, and it's open on Github if you want to take a look. Most of us work on the weekends too. The git logs are open for all to see.

Tx nmarley
that is exactly what I was trying (in layman words) to refer to

Thanks! That helps, I had no idea that yours even existed and yet it is one with so much activity...

I'm curious about Evan's though, who was being discussed specifically earlier, there hasn't really been much public activity on that one for a month, and I had thought that was going to be the one things would be getting merged to prior to getting all the way to dashpay.

He wrote the initial version to get a proof-of-concept out the door and then let someone else take over the code at a later date.

I started digging in about 2-3 weeks ago and have been working pretty-much non-stop to try and get it ready for the 12.1 release, getting pretty close to completion at this point -- so we're working on it! Just doesn't look like it unless you know where to look.

I wish I knew - but I do not as this is not my "department"
(coding boys are coding - I am obviously not)

What is your department bro?

What is everyones? I cannot really find solid info on who does what etc... I want to invest more but it makes me worried everything is so hidden. I have always been into Dash since before when it was Darkcoin but I didn't follow closely.. just trading mostly until lately..

Department: MutiTool
(wiki, translations, international outreach, social media, dash.org, managing things, communications, press and marketing, admin here and there, ..... = MultiTooling )

Edit:
i stole that word from @fernando
he is the original MultiTool
:D

What are the recent Dash Press & Marketing efforts? I haven't been watching much lately.

Also whats social media plan here? Is there main selling points and campaigns going on place? Any place we can crowdfund ads or stuff?

in general
we are just coming out of the summer break - there was no need to push crazy over August
more coming soon
Social Media Plan: share news , get more and new people involved , find new outlets = spread the Dash word
Ads : not a big fan of banner ads , we run them periodically (for the spirit) but more internationally than in english
(did u ever click a banner ad )
all the above we are trying in the top 4 languages ;)

everything is accessible and available
Wiki, main Webpage, ..... and on and on
happy to point to specifics but can not handfeed u the whole lot
hope u understand
(top menu bar is a great start - most is in there )

Maybe your username @tungfa should be in your description.

I think what was being asked for here was something like a quarterly or even monthly interview with Evan and his view on Dash progress and direction. Why not have a monthly episode with the core team on Amandas show ? ( would prefer weekly but im not pushing here )

I really liked liked the Amanda / Ryan one on one. I'd like to see them once a month.

we should have AMA every 2 weeks, this is easy stuff guys cmon don't be so lenient. Why don't you want more info?
I guess they need a bit of space to do what they do best. i.e. code.

There is a good chance an AMA would rapidly descend into a troll fest.

The structured format of Amanda's interviews strike the right balance. i.e. she asks for community questions and then interviews a core member for 45mins or so.

I'd like to see more of those.
