Regular payments

i cant find a feature, anywhere, in any wallet for any coin, for regular payments.

This is wierd, since they are so common. Monthly payments to pay my rent, my daughters pocket money, my savings for my holidays, whatever. Seems so simple. Surely we could get it into our core wallet easy enough unless there is a reason not to. The banks do it.

And of course the slightly harder problem of direct debits. Giving permission to a third party to withdraw money from my account, to the value of their choice. My electricity bill for example. If limits on frequency and value were available we would want this. After all, how else can i pay these things? I cant be trusted to remember, nor do i want to have to. Everyone is used to these things tonsuch an extent that they are taken for granted.

I just remembered, i want to pay splawik each month for hosting my masternode. Surely this can be automated, in the modern world?

This is the kind of service that I suspect the Dash API (DAPI) will enable. Using the DAPI, anyone can build a feature-rich web wallet.

My understanding is that DAPI is the backbone of Evolution. As a web developer, Evolution is nice, but I am really l looking forward to getting the DAPI.

Am I correct in my understanding?

That sounds good. I'm a little surprised that this has generated so little interest. We are spending 1000 dash from a budget of 7000 each month, and yet the idea of saving some for possible very expensive legal battles in the future is apparently boring.
